Buchulife Derm-Active Moisturising Cream

A couple of weeks ago I received the Buchulife Derm-Active Moisturising Cream.  I’ve heard of this local brand before, but this is the first time that I’ve tried one of their products.

‘Quercitin is a powerful antioxidant, natural anti-histamine and anti-inflammatory.’This made me very keen to try this cream on my hands. During change of season my skin is particularly sensitive and my eczema tends to flare up. My hands really suffer as they become very dry and the skin can crack and I have to watch what I apply as some creams can make the condition worse and even burn my skin. To my delight, this cream has been a life saver. My skin soaks it up and my hands feel soft and smooth and the discomfort associated with my eczema is forgotten. What I particularly love is the fact that the cream is incredibly moisturising and rich, but not at all greasy. I can feel the cream doesn’t just sit on my skin. My skin even looks better after application. I have also tried the cream as an all over body moisturiser and it works like a charm on dry patches. I have also used it a couple of times as a night cream when my face needed some extra TLC. I have woken up with soft, smooth and less irritated skin as a result.

The only negative is the smell. I don’t like any heavily scented creams, and the distinctive scent of this cream is one I’m not fond of. The only words I can think of to describe it is ‘herbal’ or ‘medicinal’. Lucky for me the scent does not linger and disappears once the cream is absorbed.

The cream comes in a 250ml pot and retails for R60. I think that’s peanuts for a product that has a multitude of uses and it is a product that I will definitely purchase for myself. And my gran and dad will each be getting a pot as well.

Check out their website here and visit their Facebook page for more info on their products and stockists. More products worth taking a look at are Buchulife’s first aid gel, oral supplements and sparkling water.
