A couple of months ago the kind people at Christian Art Media sent me a few CD releases, including WOW Hits 2017 Deluxe Edition, and I was super keen to give them a listen. I kind of forgot about them as I am a creature of habit and the rock compilation in the car has kept me singing and dancing for almost a year. I like to stick to what I already know and love. Then Cara fiddled with the settings on the radio and what I thought would be ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ turned out to be something unknown. I realised that I popped in disk 1 of WOW hits, but never got round to listening to it. I decided to give it a try…
The WOW Hits 2017 Deluxe Edition is just that… WOW
I have to start off by telling you that I am not a huge Gospel fan. It’s not that I don’t like Gospel music; I just don’t know a lot of Gospel tunes that has really spoken to me. But as I’ve mentioned, WOW Hits 2017 is just ‘WOW’.
My car is my usual ‘place of worship’. Driving between school and work is when I have a little alone time and I use that time to pray. God has really spoken to me through many of the songs on disk 1. I’m going to be honest; I haven’t even gotten to disk 2 yet! I listen to it over and over again and I haven’t listened to anything else in at least 2 months.
Today I want to share with you my 3 favourite songs that got me hooked. Honestly, I have found so much comfort and peace listening to these songs. It has been an incredible blessing.
