Kiehl’s Must-Haves

Kiehl’s Must-Haves

As I’ve mentioned before, I received so many samples at the Kiehl’s pop-up store in Canal Walk in December, that is was a bit difficult to choose which ones I’ll have to invest in first. So I decided to start with the basics (see my post HERE). Three products stood out above the rest and I will have to get these ASAP. All three fall in the ‘serums’ category and are very pricey, but I have time and again realized that I’ve used too much. The products are highly concentrated (as I’ve noticed with most of the products I’ve tried) and they will last quite a while. Money will be well spent on any (or all!) of these. Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate This concentrate packs a serious Vit C punch and is said to improve overall skin texture, tone and radiance while reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. I use a tiny bit that I first rub between my hands and then press into my skin before I apply my moisturiser. But what kind of voodoo magic is this?? This stuff heats up in your hands. Ha-ha! It’s awesome. It just feels so soothing and my skin looks plumped up immediately after use. I can’t wait to report on the long term results as I am confident that this product will do great things for my skin. Midnight Recovery Concentrate This lightweight serum made form pure essential oils and distilled botanicals, is 99.8% naturally-derived and paraben-free. This stuff feels great on my skin, especially when it’s in need of some TLC. It’s said to regenerate, repair and replenish for...
My Kiehl’s Basics

My Kiehl’s Basics

Ultra Facial Cleanser Even though my skin is dehydrated and very dry during winter, I’ve never felt comfortable using a cream cleanser. My skin never feels truly clean and I don’t like using a separate make-up remover. I want a foam cleanser that removes all traces of dirt and make-up. And one that doesn’t dry out my skin. Not always that easy to find. I love my Ultra Facial Cleanser as it does exactly what I need it to.  A tiny drop of product is all I need. This huge tube is going to last for months. Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner I’m not really a fan of using toner, but in an effort to try and look after my skin a bit better, I thought it might be time to invest in one. The Kiehl’s consultant recommended the Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner. It is for dry and sensitive skin. It is this interesting green colour that I am not too fond of, but the scent is nice and fresh. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean, without drying it out. As far as toners go, I’m really happy with this one. Ultra Facial Oil-free Gel Cream Gel creams usually make me a bit nervous as I am used to rich creams to...
