It’s day 28 of the #High5ToGreatSkin challenge with Kiehl’s & Beauty Bulletin

I’ve mentioned before that I am taking part in the 28 day #High5ToGreatSkin challenge with Kiehl’s and Beauty Bulletin and today is day number 28. My #High5ToGreatSkin #ChangeYourSkin Journey with Kiehl’s  When I started this challenge, I was really struggling with skin that was sensitive, dry and environmentally stressed. Today I have soft, smooth, glowing, more even-toned skin. I don’t really think I need to say more. Thank you Kiehl’s and Beauty Bulletin! I am so happy with the results and this challenge has once again confirmed something that I already knew… Kiehl’s kicks butt. Here are my thoughts on each product… KIEHL’S MIDNIGHT RECOVERY CONCENTRATE Day 1: I wasn’t sure that this oil would pack the punch my skin needs right now, but it does! I use a little more than the recommended 3 drops and my skin loves it. Liquid gold I tell you. No more tight, flaky skin. I have been using it in the mornings too and my skin feels calmed and soothed the moment this glorious liquid touches my freshly cleansed skin. I think using it twice a day is exactly what my skin needed as this harsh Cape Town weather has not been kind to me. Day 21: I have found my holy grail product for winter!! Day 1… dull, scaly, tight and uncomfortable. Now… smooth, soft, glowing skin!! I am over the moon. Using this oil twice a day has been my skin’s saving grace! Day 28: I couldn’t be happier! This oil is magic. This light, easily absorbed liquid literally saved my face this winter. If you have environmentally stressed skin, this...

The 28 day #High5ToGreatSkin challenge with Kiehl’s and Beauty Bulletin

I love a good skincare challenge and when Beauty Bulletin invited me to take part in the Kiehl’s #ChangeYourSkin #High5ToGreatSkin challenge, obviously I accepted. Together with 29 other beauties, I am putting 5 KIEHL’S cult anti-agers through its paces. It wasn’t easy putting all my other (much loved) lotions and potions away, but I wanted to properly take on this challenge. Two weeks in and I am happy I did. We are trying out the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate (RRSP 755), the Dermatologist Solutions™ Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution (RRSP 700), the Dermatologist Solutions™ Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing (RRSP 825), the Creamy Eye Treatment with Avo (RRSP 385) and the Ultra Facial Moisturizing Cream (RRSP 355). Derek Zoolander and Kiehl’s team up to help people who don’t age good

This is hand’s down one of the best marketing campaigns I have ever seen. The one who had this bright idea deserves a reward! I can’t get over how bloody brilliant it is. Derek Zoolander and Kiehl’s teamed up for the opening of The Derek Zoolander Center for People Who Don’t Age Good (DZCFPWDAG) in New York yesterday. Derek Zoolander and Kiehl’s team up to help people who don’t age good. The public is invited to experience the DZCFPWDAG’s patented 6.5 step youthification program from 9 to 13 Feb. The program has been designed to combat the signs of ageing and help people age good. You can visit the center’s website HERE. Clients at the Derek Zoolander Center for People Who Don’t Age Good can expect to be guided along their youthification journey by ridiculously good-looking and supple-skinned, male models. Each step of the program has its own dedicated activation within the center and targets a specific ailment of aging – whether that’s Phalangeal Preservation, Scents or Sensibility test or Decontamination, among others. Each experience works to reverse the effects of aging through the application of trusted products from Kiehl’s, the ageless New York apothecary. “We are thrilled to partner with Derek in the release of his latest film Zoolander No. 2,” shares Cheryl Vitali, General Manager of Kiehl’s Worldwide. “A longtime friend of Kiehl’s, Derek has always expressed a great passion for having ridiculously good-looking skin. It was a natural fit for Kiehl’s to collaborate with him in launching The Derek Zoolander Center for People Who Don’t Age Good.” Thanks to Kiehl’s and Derek we can also have...

Sensational Serums from Juliette Armand, skinPhD & Kiehl’s

If you are looking for a new facial skin serum, I have 3 great ones for you to try. All 3 are highly effective, but won’t completely break the bank. Juliette Armand Elements 03 Hyaluronic Acid Serum This baby is packed with Hyaluronic acid which is known for enhancing skin moisture. If you have dry skin or you’re looking for a serum with a firming action, you want to look out for one containing Hyaluronic acid. A tiny bit of product is needed as the thick texture spreads very well. My skin sighs with relief when I apply this serum. My skin is left feeling soft and plump. So much so that I have forgotten to apply moisturiser afterwards on a few occasions. This serums is great for all skin types that needs a bit of extra moisture and I highly recommend it. R475 for 30ml. Visit Juliette Armand on Facebook to learn more about a brand that is quickly becoming one of my favourites. skinPhD Pause Age Dermotox Serum Dermotox is the one for you if you are looking for a serum to tighten, lift and decrease the visible signs of ageing. This serum uses latest technology ingredients that aid to reduce muscular contraction and regular use is said to decrease expression lines. In all honestly, I haven’t had a chance to use it religiously as many products land on my desk, but when I have used it my skin feels moisturised, tight and appears visibly smoother. I have been using a skinPhD moisturiser that I have been loving, and if that’s anything to go by, Dermotox is a winner....
Kiehl’s Baby

Kiehl’s Baby

Cara has very sensitive, very dry and eczema-prone skin. Loads of brands claim that their creams are perfect for delicate skin, but more often than not, they don’t deliver. They either don’t moisturise adequately and/or they cause a negative reaction. I received samples of the Nurturing Baby Cream for Face and Body and I was very happy with the results. Cara skin was soft and nourished while using this cream and it did not aggravate her eczema at all. This pH-balanced and sensitivity-tested cream contains shea butter, apricot kernel oil and purified honey and it is very delicately fragranced. There is also a hair and body wash in the baby range, but there were no samples available L Hopefully we’ll be able to try that when Kiehl’s comes back to Cape Town.   xoxo...
