Nunuki – skincare for little humans

A couple of weeks ago we received a package containing the cutest skincare products for little ones. I introduce you to Nunuki.

Nunuki – skincare for little humans

Nunuki

Who is Nunuki?

Nunuki® is a locally made range of skincare products for babies and children. We’ve worked with super-smart pharmaceutical companies to make the best skincare products possible, all of which are dermatologically tested and approved, CANSA endorsed and Proudly South African. We back this with a 100% money-back guarantee. Nunuki® products are available online and in selected stores.

Cara received two full size products and a travel kit to try.

Nunuki Skincare for little humans

Cara loves Izey’s Hair & Body Wash and Elfie’s Cream. The hair and body wash works beautifully with her sensitive skin.  It gently cleanses and leaves her skin feeling soft and cared for. And I love the added Jojoba Oil. Elfie’s Cream is the favourite though. It contains a special blend of natural oils that assist in moisture retention and hydration and it protects against skin irritation and strengthens the skin barrier. I’ve tried it too and it feels fabulous on my skin. Win!

Nunuki travel kit

We also received a Nunuki Travel Set. It is great for travelling and makes for an awesome gift. The set (that comes in a fab bag) contains travel sizes of Dex’s Bum Paste, Nunu’s Bath & Massage Oil, Izey’s Hair & Body Wash, Lello’s Protecting SPF30 Sunscreen, Elfie’s Cream and Maxi’s Pesky Bug Cream. We have yet to try the sunscreen and bug cream, but that’s because I’m saving these for our camping trip in a couple of months. And even though we don’t have a bum in the house that needs bum paste, this tin is my personal favourite from the brand. I’ve been using it to protect my eczema-prone hands from all the sanitising. It works like a charm. It contains Zinc Oxide which protects and nourishes and the blend of Argan, Avocado and Evening Primrose Oils is very soothing.

Did you notice the super cute characters on the packaging?

On every Nunuki® skincare product you’ll see a quirky face smiling back at you. These are our nunukis, a family of characters each with their own special skills, strengths and stories to tell. Each has a unique personality and is eager to teach us valuable life lessons. They’re there to make bathtime fun,  and bedtime easier. Just like no two people are the same, neither are any of the nunukis. These little guys are a smiling reminder to try and find the fun in your daily routine.

The ‘buy a doll, donate a doll’ initiative will see dolls handed over to the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital will then be distributed to patients diagnosed with the corona virus. The aim is to bring joy and encourage children to aspire to become whatever they would like to be in the world.

“As Barbie highlights role models to inspire the limitless potential in the next generation, we are proud to launch a programme celebrating the real-life heroes working on the frontlines and supporting their families,” said Lisa McKnight, SVP and Global Head of Barbie and Dolls, Mattel. With 200 careers and counting, Barbie celebrates inclusivity and diversity through its dolls which show girls that they can be anything that their heart’s desire”. “We want to do our part to give back and inspire today’s kids to take after their heroes one day”, she adds.

“The children who receive care at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital often remind us the value of resilience and no matter how awful they feel, they will share a smile and find a way to crawl into our hearts. Several children have been through a very tough time and receiving a gift will bring joy to their lives. We sincerely appreciate the support and cannot wait to share the gifts with them”, says CEO of the CHT, Chantel Cooper.

This is your chance to Play It Forward and make a difference with Barbie #ThankYouHeroes.
