My curls are naturally dry and getting highlights every two months doesn’t really help the situation. I am always on the hunt for hair care products that offer maximum hydration and I’ve found a range that does just that. I’m currently using Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla. And it’s fabulous.

The Black Vanilla Moisture and Shine range is infused with ingredients like Sweet Clover Extract, Aloe Leaf Juice, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond and Soybean Oils. It aims to transforms dull, brittle and dry strands into super-shiny and soft curls. It does. And it does it well.

The range consists of sulphate-free shampoo, conditioner, a hair smoothie and leave-in conditioner.

The shampoo is brilliant. It gently cleanses without stripping your hair. Add the conditioner and you have a winning combination.

The hair smoothie is incredibly thick and rich. This deep moisture-balancing treatment is packed with the goodness of Cocoa, Shea Butters and Pro-vitamin B5 and shows instant results. And again the warm scent of Black Vanilla makes this treatment totally indulgent.

The leave-in conditioner is my favourite of the range. I use it on days I don’t wash my hair. A few spritzes on my dry hair and I’m good to go. It works like a charm to detangle and reshape curls. It works beautifully on my girl’s curls as well. This is a must have!
