Retail Box’s 30th Secret Box consisted of an Indola Innova Hydrate Pack and the box retailed for R300.

The secret hint for this box was ‘Moisturise and gently cleanse your hair with this Trio’ and that is exactly what it does.

I’ve never heard of this brand before so I was curious to see how it performs. So here’s what I think:

Indola Innova Hydrate Shampoo 300ml R179

They say the Indola Innova Hydrate Shampoo is a gentle shampoo that can be used daily to cleanse and moisturise. It contains bamboo extract, sweet almond oil and provitamin B5 to hydrate hair, add shine and strengthen. I can’t comment on strengthening yet (but I’m hoping as my locks need it!), but it does tick the boxes in the hydration and shine department. This shampoo creates a lot of foam and you really need very little to get the job done. It leaves my hair feeling soft and clean. I like it a lot.

Indola Innova Hydrate Bi-Phase Conditioner 250ml R179

The Indola Innova Hydrate Bi-Phase Conditioner is my favourite of the 3. This leave-in conditioner is formulated with bamboo extract, pro-vitamin B5, hydrolysed wheat protein and other ingredients to restore and repair hair. It softens my hair, helps to create beautiful curls and makes detangling super easy. It also works very well on Cara’s hair. This is a winner and I will be repurchasing when this one runs out. Tip: Remember to shake the bottle well before use.

Indola Innova Hydrate Light Treatment 200ml R207

This treatment is very light and I think it will make an awesome treat for any hair type. It smells lovely and leaves my hair feeling soft and nourished without weighing it down at all.

Tattoo Addict After Care (& its 101 uses)

Tattoo Addict recently sent me a tube of TATTOO ADDICT AFTER CARE to try. I’m seriously bummed that I haven’t been able to try it on a new tattoo. Donations are welcome!! Wink-wink.

I have discovered that this lovely balm has many other uses though, but first let me tell you more about this little tube and its beeswaxy goodness.

TATTOO ADDICT is specially formulated with Pro-vitamin 5 to aid in the healing process of your tattoo.  It is manufactured with no fragrances, colorants or antiseptics to minimise irritation to even the most delicate skin.

The formulation creates a smooth breathable layer to help the most sensitive skin with healing.

The benefits of using this balm on your tattoo is that it will reduce the incidence of dehydration and scabbing, it promotes faster healing and it preserves the colour of your tattoo.

Tattoo Addict After Care contains the following ingredients:

Now seeing as I don’t have new tattoo to test drive it on, I’ve been using the balm for a few other things.

Firstly, it’s a gorgeous lip balm. It also helps that I love the design on the tube. I also use it on dry patches of skin when my eczema flares up (sexy, I know!). The balm is extremely soothing and gentle on my sensitive skin. I have had incidences in the past where my eczema flared up around a new tattoo and I think this balm would have made the healing process a lot more comfortable.

This all natural (not tested on animals!) balm can also be used on cracked heels, dry cuticles, etc. It can even be used to tame an unruly beard. I know I said in the title ‘101 uses’, but you get what I’m saying. If you have any patchy, dry, cracked, chaffed skin, this balm will sort you out.
