Best Budget Beauty Buy: Palmer’s Coconut Oil hair care review

I realise that the title of this review is a mouthful, but this new discovery gets two thumbs up in the budget beauty products department. I accidentally discovered the new Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula range whilst browsing the hair care aisle in Clicks last week.

Palmer’s is a very well known brand with products that have reached cult status – think Palmer’s Cocoa Butter and Tummy Butter. I have tried quite a few of their products and I have been very happy with them all. The only thing that I am not a huge fan of is the original Cocoa Butter Formula scent. I know many love it, but it’s not for me.

The pretty packaging of the Coconut Oil Formula range caught my eye, and when I saw the price tag (I think they were R67 each) and that the products are sulfate- and paraben free, they went straight into the basket.

Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Hair Care Range Shampoo, Conditioner Hair Milk Review

Let me just get this out of the way and comment about the scent… amazing! If you love coconut (and I do!), you will love the smell of these products. It is a treat to use.

The shampoo and conditioner both contain coconut oil and as I firm believer in the benefits coconut oil has for skin and hair, this is a definite plus point.

The Shampoo is rich and thick and leaves my hair feeling clean (not sqeaky), soft and nourished. The shampoo is designed for dry, damaged, processed or colour treated hair. I basically tick all the boxes. This shampoo is a winner and I will buy it over and over again.

The Conditioner is thick and creamy and leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth. Perfect for my dry, fine hair.

The Hair Milk is gorgeous. I use it before applying my styling products. I think this is a must have for curly hair. The product is a lot thicker than I expected, and because it feels and smells so nice, I kind of went overboard the first time I used it. Make sure to use it sparingly and concentrate on the ends of your hair.

I am really enjoying this range and my hair looks great (if I do say so myself). And as far as bargain beauty products go, it can’t get much better than this.

Two thumbs up Palmer’s.

xoxo
