Cape Island – The Heart of African Luxury

We all deserve a little luxury now and then. And Cape Island’s range of scented candles, reed diffusers, natural soaps & lotions, scented sachets (and loads more) offers exactly that.

Cape Island – The Heart of African Luxury

Cape Island treated me to a bit of luxury as I got to try a natural hand cream and a hand sanitiser from this gorgeous brand.

Cape Island – The Heart of African Luxury

I am a sucker for hand creams and the Cape Island Clifton Beach Natural Hand Cream is an absolute treat. The captivating coconut, wild flowers and fresh lime scent is dreamy and my sensitive skin laps up the nourishing lotion. My hands are left feeling soft and silky. It is a handbag essential.

I also got to try the Jungle Hand Sanitiser. In all honesty, I wasn’t very excited to try it. My hands have been sprayed and squirted with so many sanitisers of late and my eczema-prone skin is not happy. BUT I was surprised (actually shocked) that you could find a hand sanitiser that doesn’t sting and burn and still kills 99.9% of bacteria, fungi and viruses. My hand actually feel hydrated after using this santiser! I give it 11 out of 10.

If you have sensitive skin, I highly recommend these two fabulous products. Thank you Cape Island.

Cape Island offers a cruelty-free range of high quality, proudly South African products that will leave you wanting more. And I most definitely want more. Oh, and if you subscribe to Cape Island via their website, you get 20% off of your first purchase.

Whilst I head over to shop on www.cape island.co.za, I’ll leave it to Cape Island to share more about their story:

CAPE ISLAND is a luxury home fragrance house with a passion for telling stories through our products in a way that inspires people. We produce a range of scented candles, reed diffusers, natural soaps & lotions, scented sachets and a whole lot more.

Cape Island

The stories of Africa are told through the fragrances themselves but also through the dramatic artwork that adorns our packaging. Each item we produce connects you to the natural landscape and the many cultures and emotions woven into it.

Cape Island

As an environmentally and socially responsible company, we recognise that simply telling these stories is not enough. Our mission is to be a force for positive change in our immediate community and the wider continent by finding ways to give back to our original muse, Africa.

When it comes to manufacturing, our products are proudly made in South Africa with a strong focus on high quality natural ingredients, micro-batch production & ethical packaging. Cape Island products are kind to the environment that inspires us, without compromising on luxury.

I’m obsessed with Mevrou & Co. slogan tees

I have been obsessed with Mevrou & Co. tees for ages. Why? Because their slogan T-shirts are simple, quirky and they make me smile.

logo

Mevrou & Co. is a Cape Town based company and their claim to fame is their white unisex T-shirts printed with quintessential South African phrases. There isn’t much more to say except I WANT IT ALL. These classic tees (available on www.mevrouandco.com) are first on my must-have list:

Mevrou & Co. Kak Fancy

Mevrou & Co deurmekaar

And I HAVE to get Cara this one (they do kiddies tees as well!):

Apart from the classic t-shirts available to buy via their site or at stalls at various markets around Cape Town, there are also quite a few slogans available on pre-order. Make sure to check them out on Facebook (@mevrouandco). There you’ll also find out more about their market stalls.

Seriously, how cool are these…
