I did try the shampoo and conditioner, but as I have to use a silver/purple shampoo to preserve my blue grey hair, my little girl’s locks gets treated to all of the AROMAS magic. And when I say magic, I mean it. Her curls have never looked so perfect. The shampoo is extremely gentle, yet it cleanses beautifully. Once rinsed, her hair is left feeling so soft that I can almost skip the conditioner. But if you have curly hair, you...

Beauty: My favourite favourites of 2015

My sister often gets upset with me when I tell her about a product that I love. ‘But you said that one is your favourite?!’ She likes to give me the third degree. I try not to use the word favourite too often when talking about the things I love as there is just too many. There are a few products and services that stood out last year, so I have decided to share my favourite favourites of 2015 with you today. Let’s jump right in… Dermaceutic Mask 15 (and pretty much everything from this brand) If I had to choose just one skincare brand to use for the rest of my life, chances are that Dermaceutic will come up tops. I have raved about Mask 15 many times and I am still amazed by the results. Every. Single. Time. You can read my thoughts on the mask HERE. I have also been using Activ Retinol 1.0 and Turn Over. I will be posting a review on these two shortly. Keep an eye out as these products are amazing. REN Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial Want to wake up with smooth, bright, fresh-looking skin? Then this product is a must have. I love it. Pop over to read my full review HERE. BABOR New Skin Fluids Ampoule Concentrates FP Love. That is what it is. I used these ampules when I started at home derma rolling and my skin loves it. This product is definitely one of the top 5 best skincare products that I have ever used. Visible results almost instantly. Fresh-looking, plump and radiant skin. I would use these ampoules...

GIVEAWAY – Juliette Armand SunFilm SPF 30 {CLOSED}

And the winner is… Bianca Balutto! Congratulations. I’ll contact you shortly x Summer is here! Finally. And I hope you are wearing sun protection every day? Take it from someone a bit older (who would give anything to go back and slap my sun-worshipping 20 year old self)… Never, ever go a day without sunscreen! Especially in summer. Okay, lecture over. Let’s get to the good part. Juliette Armand has kindly sponsored one of their fabulous SunFilm products to give away. Why do you want to win this? Juliette Armand SunFilm SPF30 is a soothing sun gel that is suitable for all skin types, but ideal for sensitive and oily skins. The tinted gel not only protects your skin, but will give it a lovely glow as well. The gel has a delicate non-oily feel and the formulation is paraben-, mineral oil-, porpylene glycol- and allergen free. SunFilm also contains revolutionary ANTITOX. The unique ANTITOX by Juliette Armand ensures the antioxidant properties of sunscreen products with high protection factors. It is an innovative and powerful new-generation antioxidant cocktail with the revolutionary self-regenerating mechanism of its antioxidant ingredients. The mechanism is activated during the action of these ingredients, as opposed to common antioxidants which are counteracted during their action. To enter, like Pretty Please Charlie on Facebook HERE (if you haven’t already) and leave a comment below sharing your favourite thing about summer. It would be great if you could show Juliette Armand some love too. I’ll announce the winner on 12 November ’15. South African residents only. Good luck!...

Best Budget Beauty Buy: Palmer’s Coconut Oil hair care review

I realise that the title of this review is a mouthful, but this new discovery gets two thumbs up in the budget beauty products department. I accidentally discovered the new Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula range whilst browsing the hair care aisle in Clicks last week. Palmer’s is a very well known brand with products that have reached cult status – think Palmer’s Cocoa Butter and Tummy Butter. I have tried quite a few of their products and I have been very happy with them all. The only thing that I am not a huge fan of is the original Cocoa Butter Formula scent. I know many love it, but it’s not for me. The pretty packaging of the Coconut Oil Formula range caught my eye, and when I saw the price tag (I think they were R67 each) and that the products are sulfate- and paraben free, they went straight into the basket. Let me just get this out of the way and comment about the scent… amazing! If you love coconut (and I do!), you will love the smell of these products. It is a treat to use. The shampoo and conditioner both contain coconut oil and as I firm believer in the benefits coconut oil has for skin and hair, this is a definite plus point. The Shampoo is rich and thick and leaves my hair feeling clean (not sqeaky), soft and nourished. The shampoo is designed for dry, damaged, processed or colour treated hair. I basically tick all the boxes. This shampoo is a winner and I will buy it over and over again. The Conditioner...
