The lovely people from the premium African spa brand, Healing Earth, sent me a few of their products to try and now I understand why this brand is loved by so many.

The brainchild of spa veteran Elisabeth Brandt, Healing Earth is a premium African spa brand that offers natural, organic products, therapies and spa concepts to discerning clients the world over.

Each lovingly created Healing Earth product harnesses the restorative powers of Africa’s rich natural resources and is made from only the purest natural active ingredients sourced from the continent’s powerful minerals, oceans, flowers, herbs, fruit, seeds and natural oils.

Our products are divided into families that aim to address specific skincare needs: Kalahari Melon for hydration, Marula for softening and relaxing, African Ginger for slimming, Pinotage for its strong antioxidant qualities, African Potato for healing and repairing, and Mongongo Nut for detoxifying.

Healing Earth African Ginger Corrective Cream

This firming body cream is a treat. It contains ginger to tone and brighten the skin. Extracts of fennel, black pepper and cypress also aid in toning and firming. This cream, as with all Healing Earth creams, is free of parabens, preservatives and mineral oils, and no artificial fragrances or colours have been added. It smells lovely, is very moisturising and soothing and it does not irritate my sensitive skin.

Healing Earth Pinotage Facial Polish

Can we just first chat about how stunning this product looks?! I love the packaging. This facial scrub is made from real Pinotage grapes that are said to improve skin’s elasticity. Unfortunately, I don’t use physical exfoliators on my face as my skin is way too sensitive (especially during winter). I’ve also been told that my skin has a weakened barrier, so I decided to not aggravate the beast any more than it already is. Not that I think that this scrub is harsh at all though. I have been using it on my hands (which are just as sensitive as my face) and I love it. It leaves my hands feeling soft and smooth. It’s gorgeous.

Healing Earth Marula & Rose Hydrating Face Serum

This serum is a Fairlady Consumer Awards 2010 Winner! I am not surprised. It is amazing during the winter months especially. And if you suffer from dry skin, you have to give it a try. It contains loads of wonderful oils yet it is surprisingly lightweight (considering!). I found that it works best for me as part of my evening skincare routine, but on days that my skin felt particularly sensitive and dry, it worked very well under my day moisturiser as well. Two thumbs up for this beauty.

Thank you so much for introducing me to your brand Healing Earth. I love it.

Faithful to nature wish list voucher giveaway

First I’ll shop for Cara as we just ran out of ‘Monkey Bubbles’ – Pure Beginnings Kids Fun Time Bubble Bath with Organic Aloe is perfect for Cara as she has sensitive, eczema-prone skin. You can read my review HERE. I’ve also had my eye on the Pure Beginnings Berry Toothpaste for quite a while. Then I’ll head over to the food section and stock up on Crede Organic Coconut Oil and Health Connection Vegan Rice Milk Powder PLUS. My poor girl with her dairy allergy. While I was looking at what else this brand has on offer, I saw the Health Connection Mustard Bath Powder and promptly bagged it. They say a mustard soak works wonders for sore muscles and I’ve always wanted to try it. Last stop – beauty. I need a new cleanser and because my skin is extremely sensitive at the moment, the Victorian Garden Apricot & Lavender Cleansing Milk sounds heavenly. Last, but by no means least, 2 all time favourites goes to the cart – Hey Gorgeous Whipped Vanilla Body Mousse and Naturals Beauty Sweet Orange Wrinkle Oil.

What would you buy if you won this voucher? Tell me and you may be the lucky winner.
