I was recently treated to a Juliette Armand Phyto Peel at The Urban Spa

Juliette Armand is a skincare brand that I have become more and more fond of with every product that I try. I used the last drop of my Vitamins Complex Serum last night and I can’t wait to get my hands on more of their serums. I was invited to experience a Juliette Armand facial treatment which included a Phyto Peel, and being obsessed with facial peels, I was not going to let an offer like that slip through my fingers. What I find extremely interesting about this brand and the therapies, is that your treatment is based on your skin’s mood. On the day of my treatment, I could only describe my skin as being ‘angry’. My skin was going through a sensitive phase (what’s new?) and I was suffering from dry and scaly patches, combined with my usually oily T-zone. That’s why I say, angry. The therapist (who I might add is the Juliette Armand Product Educator) was amazing and I felt truly pampered. Pampered whilst having a face peel you ask? Yes. This was the most relaxing facial peel I have ever experienced. No stinging or irritation at all. It felt more like a facial scrub than anything else. The Juliette Armand Phyto Peel is a professional powder mask from the Elements range. It specifically targets sebum and oiliness, but it is also suited for normal and dry skin as it regenerates and rejuvenates. ‘Its 20% content of the dried plants Spongilla, Fragilis and Ephydatia combined with kaolin deeply cleanses the skin, regulate oiliness and stimulate the skin’s natural repair process.’ My skin felt soft and smooth...

Dose up on vitamins this winter with Juliette Armand’s Vitamins Complex Serum

My skin hates winter. With a passion. My skin gets extremely sensitive and does not like the constant drop and rise in temperature and the harsh winter wind. Think dry, blotchy, red, scaly. Not a pretty sight. Juliette Armand’s Vitamins Complex Serum has been my skin’s saving grace of late. Vitamins Complex Serum contains a vitamin A-F complex and the natural anti-oxidant agent tocopherol (vitamin E). The serum aims to assist in restoring the skin’s youthful appearance, vigour and vitality whilst protecting against the formation of free radicals. It is suitable for all skin types and can be used daily. I have been using this serum twice a day for almost a month and it has provided the nourishment my skin needs during winter. My skin is less sensitive and dry and the serum has a lovely calming effect on my skin. Juliette Armand’s Vitamins Complex Serum retails for R495 for 20ml. You can follow Juliette Armand on Twitter or Facebook or visit the international site HERE. Juliette Armand is brought to you by Poise Brands and you can call them on +27 11 033 0500 to find a stockists near you. xoxo   *Disclaimer: This product was sent to me for review purposes. Juliette Armand CC Cream

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner folks! I’ve tried a couple of CC creams, but none have wowed me. They all did pretty much the same as the BB creams in my stash – all offered light coverage and maybe a bit of a glow. None of the CC creams truly ‘corrected colour’ and they found their way to the back of the make-up drawer. I might add that they are all drugstore brands. I was curious to try Juliette Armand’s CC Cream, but I wasn’t expecting too much. I need more coverage than what your average BB or CC cream offers anyway. I am officially wowed. Juliette Armand’s Color Control Cream contains Hyaluronic Acid which provides water reserves and protects against water loss, Vitamin PP which enhances elasticity and combats blemishes, Aloe Vera to moisturise and calm the skin, sun filters (SPF 10) and Matrixyl 30000 tetrapeptide which smooths wrinkles, fine lines and roughness. It combines 7 different color dispersions (pigment) that offers coverage that fits any skin tone. The first time I tried it I really thought that we would not get on. I made the mistake of using a full pump of product (that’s too much – I use about ¾ of a pump now) and when I applied it to my skin it was way too dark. I looked a bit Oompa Loompa. The trick is to use just enough product and to blend. Once it adapted, it suited my skin tone perfectly. Which was a pleasant surprise as I am very pale. And it combats a lot of redness. It also provides medium...

Juliette Armand Opsis Therapy Eye Brightening Gel

‘Thanks to SKIN BOOSTERS by Juliette Armand, your appointment with plastic surgery is postponed!’ According to the brand this line has the following advantages: The answer to plastic surgery with high-tech cosmetics Active ingredients that define future Cosmetology A stamp of responsible safety: parabens free, propylene glycol free, mineral oil free, allergen free and dermatologically tested Complete individual therapies with strict Treatment Protocols Extremely precise therapy system, assuring highly efficient, predetermined results. I received the Opsis Therapy Eye Brightening Gel and I was very keen to give it a go as this was my first time trying anything by this brand. First off, how can you not love the gorgeous and novel packaging? I mean really. It is such a treat to use… just because it’s so cool. Moving on. The packaging is very effective too as you can dispense the exact amount you need and there are no ‘dirty’ fingers spoiling the rest of your product. The rubber cap also doubles as a massager as you can use it to massage the product into the area. Honestly, I still prefer using my fingers, but it’s there if you want to use it. The product itself is said to immediately and visibly reduce dark circles and swelling in the sensitive eye contour area and it moisturises, tones and refreshes the eye contour. The gel has a balmy consistency which spreads easily and is quickly absorbed. It leaves the skin under my eyes feeling soft and smooth which makes it great to use before applying make-up to the area. It also has an immediate cooling and refreshing effect which is lovely, especially after...
