Africology Renewing Facial Therapy Serum

Africology is a local natural, eco-friendly and holistic spa and skincare company that I have heard much about, but only recently had the opportunity to experience. I realise that you should not necessarily judge a brand based on only one product, but I am smitten.

Africology Renewing Facial Therapy Serum

I am currently using the Africology Renewing Facial Therapy Serum and it is absolute bliss.

Africology Renewing Facial Therapy Serum review pretty please charlie babies behind bars

‘Actively defends sensitive and reaction-prone skin with its all-actives preparation.  A brown algae stabilised in jojoba oil, Padinami is cultivated in the Mediterranean sea in marine farms and handpicked by the local population. Jojoba oil is the ideal carrier oil as it is easily absorbed and resists oxidation. By naturally stimulating glycosaminoglycan and collagen synthesis, Padinami restores elasticity in the skin and makes it look younger. The skin is plumper, firmer, and revitalised.’

I haven’t used it for long enough to comment on the long term anti-ageing effects, but my skin has responded very favourably to this serum. My skin is very sensitive during winter and the moment I apply this serum my skin feels calmed. My skin soaks it up. I prefer to use the Renewing Facial Therapy Serum at night as it is an oil and my combination skin can turn grease ball if I apply it in the morning. After use, I wake looking fresh and calm. It is an absolute treat. It is recommended for all skin types, but will definitely be more beneficial for dry and damaged skin. It has a beautiful therapeutic aroma and 4 drops is more than enough for my face and neck. You can visit Africology HERE to get yours. It retails for R690 for 30ml.

PLEASE NOTE!! For every Skin Renewal Serum ordered until the end of August, Africology will donate all proceeds from the sale to Babies Behind Bars, a non-profit that assist mothers in prison whose children are born during their sentence. Avon Skin So Soft Fusions Review

Avon brings us Skin So Soft Fusions Soft and Nourish, and soft and nourished skin is exactly what you get.

The Super Silk Body Oil requires a quick shake to mix the replenishing and glistening oils before use and comes in a handy spray bottle. I was quite surprised that the oil is so light – it absorbs very quickly and it doesn’t leave a greasy feeling on the skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and glowing. This is a perfect body oil for summer.

The Dual Softening Body Moisturiser contains Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil and glycerine and is perfect for my dry skin. My skin is left feeling nourished and soothed. It just feels lovely. And the feeling lasts. This truly is a beautiful moisturiser and I highly recommend you give it a try.

Both of these come in beautiful packaging and have a subtle floral scent. I’m not really a fan of floral scents, but this one works as it is very feint and not overly sweet.

These are currently on special for R70 each and I am planning on stocking up.
