Bring back your summer shine with Pantene

Ah summer holidays. How do I love thee? I don’t necessarily love what you can do to my hair though. Sun, sea and wind can wreak havoc. Thankfully, the Pantene Pro-V Repair and Protect collection comes to the rescue. Bring back your summer shine with Pantene The Pro-V Repair and Protect collection is very hydrating. With regular use is prevents cuticle damage which aids in keeping hair’s moisture management barrier intact. This in turn reduces dryness and dullness and leaves hair smooth, soft and shiny. Pantene Pro-V also protects your hair against future damage keeping your hair looking and feeling great all summer long. The Pantene Repair & Protect Shampoo and Conditioner has been a staple in our home for ages and both are top notch. My husband is also a huge fan. I reviewed the shampoo and conditioner last year over HERE. The shampoo and conditioner retails for R109.99 for 750ml and R69.99 for 400ml. The Pantene Intensive Moisture Masque is a bargain at only R48.95 and I often use it as a leave-in conditioner when my hair is very dry and needs a little extra TLC. My favourite product in the range is Pantene Gold Deep Moisturizing Soufflé. Oh my, this leave-in treatment is to die for. If you struggle with hair that is dry and damaged, this conditioner is worth its weight in gold. Think soft, smooth, shiny hair. It is only available while stock lasts though, so hurry. Before I beat you to it ;) R74.99 I tried the Pantene 24-hr Frizz Fighter on my gran’s hair a couple of days ago and it did wonders for her...

Beauty: My favourite favourites of 2015

My sister often gets upset with me when I tell her about a product that I love. ‘But you said that one is your favourite?!’ She likes to give me the third degree. I try not to use the word favourite too often when talking about the things I love as there is just too many. There are a few products and services that stood out last year, so I have decided to share my favourite favourites of 2015 with you today. Let’s jump right in… Dermaceutic Mask 15 (and pretty much everything from this brand) If I had to choose just one skincare brand to use for the rest of my life, chances are that Dermaceutic will come up tops. I have raved about Mask 15 many times and I am still amazed by the results. Every. Single. Time. You can read my thoughts on the mask HERE. I have also been using Activ Retinol 1.0 and Turn Over. I will be posting a review on these two shortly. Keep an eye out as these products are amazing. REN Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial Want to wake up with smooth, bright, fresh-looking skin? Then this product is a must have. I love it. Pop over to read my full review HERE. BABOR New Skin Fluids Ampoule Concentrates FP Love. That is what it is. I used these ampules when I started at home derma rolling and my skin loves it. This product is definitely one of the top 5 best skincare products that I have ever used. Visible results almost instantly. Fresh-looking, plump and radiant skin. I would use these ampoules...

Best Budget Beauty Buy: Palmer’s Coconut Oil hair care review

I realise that the title of this review is a mouthful, but this new discovery gets two thumbs up in the budget beauty products department. I accidentally discovered the new Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula range whilst browsing the hair care aisle in Clicks last week. Palmer’s is a very well known brand with products that have reached cult status – think Palmer’s Cocoa Butter and Tummy Butter. I have tried quite a few of their products and I have been very happy with them all. The only thing that I am not a huge fan of is the original Cocoa Butter Formula scent. I know many love it, but it’s not for me. The pretty packaging of the Coconut Oil Formula range caught my eye, and when I saw the price tag (I think they were R67 each) and that the products are sulfate- and paraben free, they went straight into the basket. Let me just get this out of the way and comment about the scent… amazing! If you love coconut (and I do!), you will love the smell of these products. It is a treat to use. The shampoo and conditioner both contain coconut oil and as I firm believer in the benefits coconut oil has for skin and hair, this is a definite plus point. The Shampoo is rich and thick and leaves my hair feeling clean (not sqeaky), soft and nourished. The shampoo is designed for dry, damaged, processed or colour treated hair. I basically tick all the boxes. This shampoo is a winner and I will buy it over and over again. The Conditioner...

The most recent box was no exception. It sold out in record time. And I’m not just saying that. Even though Retail Box sent me one, I still wanted to order another as the box was that good. But nope, all sold out before I even had a chance. Why did I want more? Have read below and make a note that the box sold for only R190! Introducing the new Schwarzkopf BC Oil Miracle Barbary Fig Oil hair care range. The BC Oil Miracle Barbary Fig Oil hair care range has been specifically designed for very dry, damaged and brittle hair. The range contains Barbary Fig Oil and micro-keratin. Why? Barbary fig seed oil is rich in essential fatty acids and tocopherols. It protects against free radicals, stimulates the cells and delivers intense hydration. The formula combines the caring natural oil with micronized keratin, which rebuilds the hair’s structure without weighing it down. Here are my thoughts on the 3 products that were in the Secret Box. BC Oil Miracle Conditioning Milk The leave-in conditioner gives my hair amazing shine and incredible softness. And it doesn’t weigh my...
