Win Georgini Jewellery worth R5000!

Last month I told you about the gorgeous Australian jewellery brand, Georgini. The brand was kind enough to send me a few of my favourite pieces and I completely get why this brand is so loved… I adore my Georgini jewellery. I love earrings. My husband would probably say I am obsessed. I have too many pairs to count. I go through phases and right now I am loving huggie earrings. I have a plain silver pair that I wear almost every day and when I spotted the Georgini Pave CZ Huggie Earrings I knew they had to be mine. Aren’t they gorgeous?! Perfect for a night out. I wanted to spoil my mom a bit and I got her the Georgini Newtown Hook Earrings. I was a bit disappointed when I opened my parcel as I wanted to keep them for myself! I love them. But my mom’s eyes lit up when I have her her gift and she adores her Newton Hooks. Got me some nice brownie points with this one, hey mom?   Georgini has so many delicate and dainty bracelets and it’s very hard to choose between all the lovely pieces. The Georgini Liberty Bracelet is so pretty and sparkly and I think I made a very good choice. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the Georgini Clear CZ Baby Crescent Moon Pendant. This special pendant will be hidden away and given to Cara for a special birthday. We always say that we love each other to the moon and back and I couldn’t resist. I know it’s corny, but hey, I like a little corny now and then. Plus the crescent moon looks...

Cara LOVES her Penguala. And you can win a Hatchimal!

Just Fun Kidz emailed me a couple of weeks ago and asked if Cara would like to review a Hatchimal. What kind of a question is that? YES! I don’t know any little kids who wouldn’t give their left pinky for one of these adorable furballs. What is a Hatchimal you ask?? Hatchimals are magical creatures that live inside of eggs. Who’s inside? It’s a surprise! Each egg contains one of two interactive Hatchimals. Love and care for yours inside the egg and its eyes will light up as it makes cute sounds, telling you how it’s feeling! Once you’ve played with it enough, you’ll see rainbow eyes – that means its time to hatch! Hatchimals can’t hatch on their own. Your touch encourages them to peck their way out of the egg! It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Now you get to raise your furry Hatchimal through 3 stages, from baby to toddler, to kid. Your Hatchimal sings “Hatchy Birthday” each time it enters a new stage! Teach yours to walk, dance, play games and more! It will even repeat what you say in its own voice! I know that Hatchimals were top of many kids’ Christmas wish lists last year, and I can’t see the hype about these little cuties dying down soon. Cara received a Penguala Hatchimal. Pengualas are happy-go-lucky, quirky, naive, friendly, clumsy and kind.  They come in either a Pink or a Teal egg. They are super cute. The hatching process is amazing. Really! We had the whole family gathered round the table whilst Cara and her cousin were helping little Pengi hatch by stroking the egg...

Pregnancy Education Week and a GIVEAWAY

‘The Perfect Dance of Birth Hormones’ is the theme of  Pregnancy Education Week from 18 to 26 February 2017, when childbirth educators, Bio-Oil and hospitals around the country highlight how knowledge empowers expectant parents for better pregnancy, birth, bonding and breastfeeding experiences. Childbirth education is proven to have many benefits for expectant parents and the newborn child.  Pregnancy Education Week Lynne Bluff, national co-ordinator of the Childbirth Educators’ Professional Forum, explains how antenatal classes can help facilitate an understanding of the interplay of hormones before, after and during birth.  “Our hormone system prepares us in the final weeks, days and hours for an efficient labour; they help manage the pain and stress and ensure a safe birth. Hormones also give us a feeling of intense reward and pleasure as we meet our baby for the first time. For all this to happen in harmony, the birthing hormones need to work together in perfect synchronicity. At childbirth education classes, parents learn these intricate steps. The knowledge and understanding they gain helps facilitate the ‘dance’ for a better birth experience.” “Four hormones star in the show – oxytocin, endorphins, catecholamines and prolactin. Each brings its own style to the dance of labour. Oxytocin takes the lead, guiding you with love and connection, while catecholamines excite and energize you. Endorphins help you navigate through the daring twists and turns and nurturing prolactin will be there at the dazzling finish to welcome your baby.” Bluff explains several steps that expectant parents can take to best prepare for this perfect ‘dance’:  Most importantly you need confidence that you can give birth to your baby,...

Pedirelax foot cream review PLUS a huge giveaway!

I love all lotions, creams and butters and I thoroughly enjoy slathering them on from my head to my fee… No wait. I lie. From my head to my ankles. I find foot creams to be a pain. Especially in summer. Most creams and balms are think and greasy. Whilst they can do a great job at moisturising and healing, they leave a slippery film on your feet that I hate – you can’t put on your shoes, walking around leaves your footprints everywhere and I am not putting on socks in this heat waiting for the cream to absorb. So what do I do? I skip it completely. What does that result in? Dry skin and cracked heels that should not be shown off in pretty summer sandals. You feel my pain? So what should you do? You go to Clicks or Dis-Chem right now and go get yourself Pedirelax foot cream. Pedirelax foot cream review PLUS a huge giveaway! Pedirelax Diabetic Foot Care Cream – R99.95 for 100ml I was very surprised when I tried the cream for the first time as it seemed way too light to be effective. I was wrong. Even though it is super light (which also means that it absorbs very quickly), it is very hydrating and moisturising and will sort out dryness and cracked heels in no time. I also find the cream to be very soothing when my feet feel a bit puffy or swollen. Why is the cream good for diabetics? Diabetes can cause dehydration, impaired circulation and increased risk of infection which means that diabetics really have to take...
