I did try the shampoo and conditioner, but as I have to use a silver/purple shampoo to preserve my blue grey hair, my little girl’s locks gets treated to all of the AROMAS magic. And when I say magic, I mean it. Her curls have never looked so perfect. The shampoo is extremely gentle, yet it cleanses beautifully. Once rinsed, her hair is left feeling so soft that I can almost skip the conditioner. But if you have curly hair, you...

And the winner is… Pascale King! Congratulations! I’ll be in touch shortly. Today I want to introduce you to the new and improved Mama Mio Tummy Rub Butter and Tummy Rub Oil. And stick around because you can win! The Mama Mio Tummy Rub Butter is a beautifully fragranced blend of organic oils in an organic Shea Butter base. Both the oil and the butter increases skin’s strength and elasticity to protect against stretch marks, nourishes growing skin and soothes itchy tummies. Amazing ingredients will care for your tummy will the bump is growing and while it returns to its original gorgeous shape. Organic Sacha Inchi Oil, Argan Oil, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and more are combined to create highly effective, no-nastie formulations that are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Loving Lately: Measurable Difference Brow Lift & Tint, NAFHA Argan Oil and Catrice Prime and Fine Eyeshadow Base

Measurable Difference Brow Amplifying Lift & Tint On days that I want to define my brows without going all ‘Instagram’ (you know the brows I’m talking about), I grab my Lift & Tint tube in Caramel and in two ticks, I’m sorted. This eyebrow gel colours, nourishes and conditions the brows in one easy step. The gel applies easily (with the ‘mascara brush’) and it’s long lasting and smudge-resistant. Measurable Difference Brow Amplifying Lift & Tint is available in Caramel and Espresso and you will find it at Foschini stores retailing for R205 (8ml). NAFHA Argan Oil As you can see from the above image, I’ve really been using this gorgeous oil. I am a huge fan of Argan Oil for skin and hair and I was very excited to learn about the NAFHA Argan Oil range that is available at Edgars. The range consists of facial and body products and the one I am most keen on getting my hands on, is the NAFHA Moisturing and Soothing Face Mask. It sounds perfect for skin that needs some TLC during the harsh winter months. The hero product from the range must be the 100% Cosmetic Virgin Argan Oil. This is the real deal. The handy 15ml rollerbal that I received came at just the right time. I used the oil a couple of times a day on the scar from my back surgery and it healed beautifully. It is perfect to treat scars, dry patches, dry cuticles and even chapped lips. NAFHA Argan Oil retails for R260 for the 15ml  rollerball and R580 for a 100ml bottle. Catrice Prime and...

INOAR Absolut SPEED BLOND Review

Blonde haired babes take note! I have found the ultimate yellow eliminator. The INOAR Absolut SPEED BLOND range corrects the tone of blonde and grey hair and avoids discolouration, whilst intensively hydrating and revitalising the hair. This range instantly corrects the yellow tone in blonde and highlighted hair and gives grey hair amazing shine. It is also infused with active antioxidants and Argan Oil and is PH balanced. You are not only left with brilliant colour, but also hair that is nourished and cared for with intense shine. I have highlighted hair and I have tried the shampoo and conditioner in this range. It instantly tones down any yellow/brassy tones leaving me with a cool toned blonde which I love. Just be warned not to leave it on for too long the first time you use it, or you may be left with platinum blonde hair. I suggest to wash/condition and immediately rinse when you use it the first time just to see what effect it has on your hair. Then you can play. I use these products once a week and I am extremely happy with the results. I also gave my mom some shampoo to try. My mom has the most gorgeous (natural) grey highlights. I pray for the same colour when I’m her age. My mom has been using the shampoo and is very happy to report that her hair is soft, manageable and beautifully shiny. If you are in need of a ‘silver’ shampoo, I highly recommend INOAR Absolut SPEED BLOND. INOAR Absolut SPEED BLOND Shampoo and Conditioner retail for R220 each and the mask for R350. INOAR...

Moroccanoil. Does it deserve its cult status??

Moroccanoil. I don’t think it’s possible to find a beauty lover who has not at least heard of this brand. I have finally gotten a chance to try this Argan infused hair care range and I couldn’t wait to see if it truly deserves its cult status. I have tried a few cult beauty products that have left me wanting. Does Moroccanoil truly live up to the hype? The answer is YES, YES, YES. The quality, the scent, the packaging, the results. I can find little fault. Here are reviews of the products a gave a test drive. Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo is an extremely lightweight formula that is free from sulphates, phosphates and parabens and infused with a host of ingredients to nourish, protect and plump. It is a very ‘water loving’ formula and foams beautifully. It works best if you add a little bit of water at a time and form a good lather before applying it to your hair. It leaves my hair feeling soft and manageable, clean but not stripped and it gives great shine. R270 Moroccanoil Extra Volume Conditioner is just as lightweight as the shampoo which makes it great for normal hair types. Just as the shampoo, it is also infused with Tilicine (and other ingredients) which penetrates the hair and plump up the cuticle from the inside out. It is recommended for fine or limp hair. Even though it made my hair soft and manageable and helped a great deal to detangle, I think I need a conditioner with a bit more oomph (for these super dry and damaged tresses). I think...
