Tattoo Addict After Care (& its 101 uses)

Tattoo Addict recently sent me a tube of TATTOO ADDICT AFTER CARE to try. I’m seriously bummed that I haven’t been able to try it on a new tattoo. Donations are welcome!! Wink-wink.

I have discovered that this lovely balm has many other uses though, but first let me tell you more about this little tube and its beeswaxy goodness.

TATTOO ADDICT AFTER CARE

Tattoo Addict After Care (and its 101 uses)

TATTOO ADDICT is specially formulated with Pro-vitamin 5 to aid in the healing process of your tattoo.  It is manufactured with no fragrances, colorants or antiseptics to minimise irritation to even the most delicate skin.

The formulation creates a smooth breathable layer to help the most sensitive skin with healing.

The benefits of using this balm on your tattoo is that it will reduce the incidence of dehydration and scabbing, it promotes faster healing and it preserves the colour of your tattoo.

Tattoo Addict After Care contains the following ingredients:

  •  Grapeseed Oil –  absorbs into the skin faster than most oils and is used as a carrier for the benefits of essential oils
  • Cera Alba (Beeswax) helps to hold in moisture, protecting the skin from dryness and prevents clogging of pores
  • Shea Butter – helps repair the epidermis by promoting cell regeneration
  • Rosemary Oil – acts as an anti-oxidant
  • Allantoin – promotes healing of wounds, is soothing and an anti-irritant
  • Lavender Oil  -which has many anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties
  • Vitamin E – acts as an anti-oxidant and helps with skin regeneration

Now seeing as I don’t have new tattoo to test drive it on, I’ve been using the balm for a few other things.

Firstly, it’s a gorgeous lip balm. It also helps that I love the design on the tube. I also use it on dry patches of skin when my eczema flares up (sexy, I know!). The balm is extremely soothing and gentle on my sensitive skin. I have had incidences in the past where my eczema flared up around a new tattoo and I think this balm would have made the healing process a lot more comfortable.

This all natural (not tested on animals!) balm can also be used on cracked heels, dry cuticles, etc. It can even be used to tame an unruly beard. I know I said in the title ‘101 uses’, but you get what I’m saying. If you have any patchy, dry, cracked, chaffed skin, this balm will sort you out.

Two thumbs up Tattoo Addict.

Sushi and wine at family-friendly John Dory’s Canal Walk

A couple of weeks ago Cara and I spent a lovely afternoon with a few of my favourite bloggers at the newly revamped John Dory’s Canal Walk.

This was our first time at John Dory’s and the restaurant is now a firm favourite.

Reason number 1: their sushi is goooood! And well priced. I can almost stop this post right here, cause I know a lot you feel the same way I do… ‘you had me at sushi, John Dory’s’.

The menu offers a great selection of sushi (with banting-friendly options), seafood and dishes for the meat lovers (which means my husband won’t complain when I’m in the mood for sushi). The kids menu is also great and the fact that Cara finished every last bite of her chicken strips and chips says a lot.

The restaurant offers a lovely play area which Cara thoroughly enjoyed. There’s ample seating available next to the play area so parents can keep a close eye while their little ones are having a jol. This means a little time for mom and dad to relax and no whining or sulks from the kids. For a while at least!

What else can I say?

Friendly staff… check.

Great decor… check.

Awesome service… check.

Disclaimer: These images all belong to John Dory’s Canal Walk as I was too busy having a good time enjoying my sushi and champers to really bother taking pics. I will not make a good food blogger.

We’ll be back soon for more.
