Search: If you are looking to buy something all you do is choose from a range of categories and services and filter by price, proximity, highest rated product or even new or pre-loved and within seconds your find comes up.

Buying: Currently the system puts a buyer in touch with a Mom or Business Seller through the platform without giving private details away. But we are excited to be rolling out a Pay & Deliver system soon which takes away the hassle of having to meet someone face to face and gives you the convenience of at home delivery.

Sell: In three easy steps via our website, Mobi-site or our iOS and GooglePlay Apps you literally snap your product, list the information and upload straight onto the marketplace all within minutes. Plus if you want your Facebook friends or Twitter followers to see what you are selling, we give you the option of sharing your pre-loved products on your social feeds too!

Rate: Seeing as trust is a huge barrier too many South Africans trading online, we have done our best to make trading more trustworthy on Moms List. Read sellers history of comments and questions, see what their rating is, trade with people in your area and seeing their Facebook profile pic should all make you feel at ease when buying or selling on Moms List. Plus if this isn’t enough for you, use our Pay & Deliver service so you never have to meet the buyer or seller!

Follow: Finally if you are a Mom you will know that being a Mom is tough and you don’t always have all the answers. I often look at my baby and I can’t believe that she is 4 years old. And 4 going on 14 most days ;) I wish I could turn back the clock or at least have time stand still for a while. I would love to go back and hold that tiny little bundle in my arms again.

Pregnancy, birth and motherhood is such a magical experience… if only we all experienced it that way though. The day Cara was born, I stared at her in awe and in panic. What was I thinking? How was I going to do this?

The first time I ever changed a nappy (properly) was in the hospital, I kept on having visions of dropping my child and the first 2 weeks of breastfeeding was a nightmare. The first couple of months were a complete blur filled with colicy cries, little sleep, guilt, worry and self doubt. If only I knew then what I know now. I guess it’s all part of the journey of becoming a parent.

Johnson’s Baby Sense Seminars 2015

If the thought of becoming a parent and raising a child completely overwhelms you (like it did for me), why not attend one of the Johnson’s Baby Sense parenting seminars.

the jungle of parenting information.

The Johnson’s Baby Sense parenting seminars offer pregnant women as well as parents with babies up to 12 months of age, a wealth of information and are taking place in August and September this year. The seminars are now in its 12^th year and I think that speaks volumes of what these seminars offer moms-to-be and new parents. This is what you can expect this year:

The parenting experts this year include Sr Ann Richardson (co-author of Baby Sense and Sleep Sense), Tina Otte (midwife and special editor of Your Pregnancy), Lizanne du Plessis (OT and author of Raising Happy Children), Kate Bailey (OT and early childhood development and stimulation expert) and Dr Welma Lubbe (registered nurse and advanced midwife with qualifications in neonatal nursing science). This panel of experts will assist parents with invaluable information on a variety of topics that are close to a new parent’s heart.

In the first session (08h30 – 12h00), our experts will equip moms-to-be with everything they need to know about baby’s transition from womb to world, the golden hour straight after birth as well as newborn basics.

The afternoon session is aimed at parents with babies up to 12 months of age and will include information on stimulating your baby, gentle sleep solutions and what it takes to be a brave mom.

A Johnson’s Baby Massage Workshop takes place between the two sessions and will teach moms the benefits of sensory stimulation and provide tips for baby massage and how parents can communicate with their baby through touch and massage.

Cost per seminar is R240 and R60 for the massage workshop. Note that there is an early bird special at the moment: book before 7 June 2015 and only pay R168 per ticket.
