Classroom Tips for Left Handed Children

My Leftie started Grade RR this year and we have a lot of work ahead of us. Lots of drawing, cutting, paper tearing ( I finally have a use for the phone book), etc. Thank goodness for Google, cause this mom is useless. At first I thought Cara just doesn’t like to colour and draw, but now it seems that she finds it hard and she gives up very quickly. We have to work on developing better fine motor skills and hopefully putting pen to paper will not be a chore for her for much longer.

Whilst cleaning up my inbox this morning, I spotted this email from Write Left with useful classroom tips for left handed children. I wrote about Write LEFT last year (HERE). They offer a wide range of stationary and writing aids ergonomically designed to support left handed children and adults. Thanks for the tips Write LEFT! These tips will make life a little easier for your little leftie; in the classroom and at home.

Let’s jump right in… I love Stick 2 Me.

Stick 2 Me

Yesterday morning we received Cara’s custom labels for school and they are adorable. Not only that, they are great quality and the set gives you a good selection of shapes and sizes.

Stick 2 Me is a Canadian based company specialising in customisable identification labels for kids. I won a set (thank you One Step At A Time!) and I am super chuffed with the product. Why? They’re just stickers, right? Wrong. I have ordered stickers before, but these are special.

This is how they arrived:

I was already sold. Personal touches make the difference. Inside this envelope we found our gorgeous labels, some instructions and a few sheets of transparent film for extra protection. The set of 200 labels includes 120 waterproof stickers.

I chose the Princess Collection for Cara (there’s a unicorn!) and it is super cute. There are many other collections (dinosaurs, monsters, owls, etc) chose from. Have a look at the collections HERE. The creator of Stick 2 Me, Annie Nadeau, personally illustrated all of these lovable characters.
