Well done essence! Valentine – Who Cares? is a definite winner. Beautiful, wearable shades and a lip colour that I have been searching for.

essence Valentine - Who Cares Trend Edition giveaway swatches reviews

Valentine – Who Cares? was released mid Jan and you better get your butt to Dis-Chem ASAP. You want this. Edgy and intense, yet totally wearable. This trend edition is by far my favourite one yet.

Who doesn’t love an intense black kajal eyeliner? essence brings us a creamy and easy to blend eyeliner that retails for only R39. You can’t beat that.

Smokey eyeshadow sticks? Yes please. And you want the metallic beige (01 love is in the air – don´t breathe!) and the shimmering khaki (02 l.o.v.e. blah blah blah). I adore both these shades. Only R48 each.

Just be warned… the eyeshadow dries extremely fast, so you better move quick with the blending. Once it’s on, it stays on.

In this collection you will also find the 01 guys allowed, NOT! translucent fixing powder. It’s going to take a lot of persuasion to put brush to product as it is just so pretty. But at R58 you can grab two.

This lippie. Oh my. 02 i´m not into roses has stolen my heart. It’s a deep, dark red that I’ve been longing for. It’s very pigmented, it lasts well and it’s not drying. This is a brilliant budget buy. R48.

BambiShoes Hair Colour Review

Obsessed. That is what I am. I am completely obsessed with BambiShoes semi-permanent hair colour. I discovered BambiShoes hair colour at the end of last year and I fell in love. So much so that I had to include it in my Best of Beauty 2015 post.

BambiShoes

If you want to add a pop of colour to your hair or go full mermaid, you have to check out this non-toxic, cruelty free, vegan-friendly product.

The colours are vibrant and just plain gorgeous. I received beryl orchid, sapphire blue and amethyst purple to try out, but there are many more to choose from. And you can play around and create a shade that’s perfect for you. The colour is easy to apply, it doesn’t cause any damage and beautiful colour comes at a fraction of the price of professional applications. I also love the fact that I don’t have to use all my product at once (you only mix as much as you need).

Yesterday I decided to add a little sapphire blue and amethyst purple to my hair (with hubby’s help). So mooi!

All you need is your BambiShoes colour powder, conditioner, rubber gloves (as this stuff does stain), a mixing bowl and a colour brush (I found that applying it with my hands worked well).

You mix the powder and conditioner, apply to dry hair, rinse and voilà

I love it!! Especially the purple. Seriously thinking of doing my whole head. I can’t stop staring at it.

We also played around with the colours over the holidays. My little girl and I went for a pop of pink and my bestie opted for the purple. Her hair looked amazing. Really! And I have been told that I need to keep my schedule open as she wants more…
