Motley Crew – the coolest tween toiletry range in town

When I spotted the Motley Crew range on social media, I knew it was going to be a hit. Not only do the products look super cool, they fit into a market that hasn’t really been catered for. I am proud to tell you more about Motley Crew…

Motley Crew – the coolest tween toiletry range in town

Some of you may think that tweens are a bit young to be thinking about face wash and roll-on, but I think it’s the perfect age to start introducing self care products.

Why choose Motley Crew Body Brew?

Motley Crew Body Brew

Motley Crew products are age-appropriate, specific for tweens. We provide toiletries with the needs of kids between 8 and 13 yrs in mind. Our brand has a fun and fashionable character backed by professional and expert products made specifically for this age group. We aim to provide all you kids with products that are cool and that gives you a sense of ownership – your first step to managing your personal hygiene.

Cara’s been washing her face with face wash for quite some time now. I am very strict when it comes to wearing sunscreen every day and I prefer that she doesn’t use bar soap to remove the sunscreen, dirt and grime of the day. She also uses face cream which up to now has been aqueous cream.

The above process has often been met with sighs and grunts, but now that Cara has her own range of skin care products, she is happy to wash and moisturise. Winning!!

Motley Crew Body Brew

Cara loves her Motley Crew Glo Up Face Wash and Whassup Face Cream. In her words: ‘it smells nice and feels soft’. I love the products for so many more reasons. The face wash is soap and sulphate free, foams up beautifully and leaves Cara’s skin clean without feeling stripped or dried out. I’ve tried it too and it’s a great foaming face wash. The face cream is light, oil and fragrance free and contains soothing aloe vera. It’s lovely. Again I speak from personal experience too.

Motley Crew Body Brew

We also received a Vanilla Sunshine Roll On. It’s not really something Cara needs just yet, but my mom grabbed it as soon as she heard the word ‘vanilla’. This range actually caters for all ages ;)

The Motley Crew Body Brew range has so much more that we’re dying to try. Think shampoo, conditioner, body cream, hair gel and hair detangling spray. All packaged to look super cool. What makes it even better is that Motley Crew is proudly South African and they don’t test on animals.

These products are available at major Clicks outlets in the Hand & Body aisle as well as online and they retail between R19,95 to R64,95.

Happy shopping!

Childs Farm is here! And we love it.

Childs Farm is available in South Africa and we are thrilled. Childs Farm is the UK’s number 1 rated sensitive toiletry brand for kids and now we know why …

Childs Farm is here! And we love it.

This award winning British brand uses naturally derived ingredients to produce mild skin and hair care products for babies and children.  These gorgeous products are scented with essential oils (which I am completely obsessed with at the moment) and they all smell amazing. And when I say that ‘we’ love the range, that is exactly what I mean… both Cara and I have been using the products.

This got me very excited:

Childs Farm products are made using 98% naturally derived ingredients.

There are already so many nasties in most products that we use today that it’s great to find a brand that aims to use only natural ingredients to manufacture their products. You can read more about the ingredients in your Childs Farm products HERE.

Cara and I have sensitive, eczema-prone skin. Cara suffers from food allergies that effect her skin. My eczema is mostly caused by stress and contact with allergens (which include my dogs, but for them I’ll suffer anytime).

Childs Farm says this:

We’re one of the very few baby and child ranges to undergo clinical safety tests and controlled user trials so all our products are dermatologist and paediatrician approved as suitable for sensitive skin and safe for people who may be prone to eczema. In other words, you can use them with absolute confidence whilst putting the fun back into bath time.

Cara ‘s eczema has on occasion flared up because of skin care products so I tend to stick with the products that I know won’t irritate her sensitive skin. I’m happy to report that the Childs Farm washes and bubble bath don’t affect her skin negatively at all. And my skin loves the washes too and they smell amazing. I also love the fact that many of the products are multi-taskers.

We also got to try the Strawberry and Organic Mint Shampoo and it’s a winner. It smells fantastic and it’s not drying at all. Our curls are quite chuffed with this shampoo.

I am more than a little obsessed with body lotions and creams. My skin is very dry and I have to lather from head to toe at least once a day. The Childs Farm Baby Moisturiser is absolutely lovely and Cara and I have enjoyed every single drop  – yup, it’s all gone.

If you are looking for skin and hair care products for your little ones that are suitable for sensitive and eczema prone skin, Childs Farm could be the range for you. It also helps that the packaging is super adorable.

Childs Farm is available from Clicks and Takealot and they range from about R85 to R100. Not bad at all. You can also visit the Childs Farm South Africa Facebook page for more info.
