Garnier Ultimate Blends Delicate Oat Review

Oh my word! Garnier Ultimate Blends Delicate Oat shampoo and conditioner is fan-freakin-tastic! I know it’s early days, but I really think this is the budget beauty launch of the year. For me at least. Here’s why …

Garnier Ultimate Blends Delicate Oat Review

Garnier’s Ultimate Blends Oat Milk Delicacy creates its most caring formula for all delicate hair and scalp. Formulated with Oat milk and rice cream, Garnier Ultimate Blends Delicate Oat offers a complete routine that cleanses, soothes, hydrates and protects.

OAT MILK TO SOOTHE & SOFTEN
Protein-rich oats are among nature’s ingredients, easy to assimilate and valued for their nutritive benefits. Known for its various properties, Oat Milk is rich in antioxidants, Vitamin B1, calcium and iron. This milk is often contained in skincare products as it helps soothe and soften delicate skin. It’s the perfect choice for both soothing sensitive scalps and reducing the sensation of itching.

RICE CREAM TO MOISTURIZE AND PROTECT
Rice is the cereal that is the easiest for the body to benefit from and known for its wealth of proteins. Used in Asian skincare for its hydrating properties, this newest Garnier Ultimate Blends ingredient is ideal for moisturizing and protecting hair.

Garnier’s Delicate Soother is designed to care for delicate hair and scalp. I don’t suffer from a sensitive scalp, but my hair needs all the TLC it can get after my hair loss. And oh my, it provides a lot of tender love and care.

The shampoo is incredibly creamy and it isn’t stripping at all. The paraben-free formula leaves my hair feeling clean, soft and smooth.

The conditioner makes detangling super easy and leaves my hair feeling nourished, hydrated and cared for.

I have been using the products on Cara’s hair as well and the condition of her hair has improved after only a couple of uses. Her hair was very dry with the change of season, but now those gorgeous golden locks are back.

The scent of the shampoo and conditioner is AMAZING. I don’t know exactly how to describe the creamy yumminess, but it reminds me of pudding. And it lingers for days. I can’t stop sniffing Cara’s hair.

I am lucky to be able to try many salon products on my hair and I have many that I love, but I promise you, Delicate Oat is salon quality and I will always have stock of it in the cupboard.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Delicate Oat retails for R39.99 for 250ml and R59.99 for 400ml.

*Update: I just heard that there is a delay and the range will only be released closer to the end of the year. I really hope it’s sooner! I’ll let you know as soon as I know.

Optiphi Classic Complete Therapy

I received this moisturiser at the Cape Town Blogger Meet in Jan and I have been waiting for the colder months (when my skin tends to be drier) to give it a try. It is a no-frills moisturiser that beautifully hydrates my skin. It also creates a smooth base for my foundation. I am really enjoying this moisturiser right now and I love the fact that it has a SPF20.

The Victorian Garden Rose and Chamomile Toning Freshener

Browsing the isles in a big pharmacy about a month ago, I spotted this spritzer and couldn’t resist. It’s aimed at dry skin and it has been a lifesaver of late. I keep it on my desk in the office and give my face a spritz when my skin starts to feel tight. Our offices are very cold so the heater is constantly on full blast. Great for my feet, but it wreaks havoc on my skin. This tonic instantly relieves that parched feeling and my skin looks fresher too. And it smells lovely. I bought it for R60.

Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector Eye Roll-on

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one of these as I’ve read so many good reviews. It is said to cover and treat dark circles, bags and fine lines. I need industrial strength products to conceal my dark circles and I really struggle. Problem is that most products that completely conceal, also accentuate my fine lines. So most of the time covering my dark circles can actually make me look older. What I like about this product is that it doesn’t do that at all – the formula doesn’t settle in fine lines. And even though it doesn’t fully conceal, it does highlight the area and make me look less tired.  I really like it and will most definitely buy it again. It retails for R70 and is available in Light and Medium.

Hey Gorgeous Marshmallow Whipped Mousse

What can I say about Hey Gorgeous that you don’t already know?! The cream is packed full of natural goodness and you can feel it the moment you apply it. It’s light, but still very moisturising. I love all the Hey gorgeous body creams I have tried and this one is no exception. And it smells like pink fizzers. It’s divine. R100 for 250ml.

Last but definitely not least…

27Pinkx Mini Organiser

IMG_00002173

If you are a make-up and skincare junkie like me, you know that storage is always an issue. My husband constantly comments on the state of my ‘cosmetics corner’. Well, it’s been looking a lot prettier and neater of late thanks to my gorgeous organiser that I received from 27Pinkx. Their organisers are made of durable acrylic and it looks super stylish. There are several styles to choose from and prices range from R390 to R1800 – so there’s something to suit all budgets. The mini organiser retails for R1 200. I just browsed their website and there a quite a few other items that tickle my fancy… the Naught Nudes eye shadow palette and The Make-up Bullet come up tops.
