L’Oréal Infallible Nail Lacquers and Color Riche L’Extraordinaire

L’Oréal says that their new Infallible Nail Lacquers is their first polish to challenge a UV manicure with spectacular gel shine and up to 12 day wear.

The 2 step system works together to give you a long lasting, durable and super shiny manicure that won’t dry out or thin your nails.

I received these two gorgeous colours to try out. I have received tons of compliments when wearing Gris Eternel 002. I am totally in love with that shade. There is no way that any polish (even UV cured) will last on my nails for 12 days, but I am impressed as Infallible lasts at least a day longer than most. And it doesn’t lose any of its shine. The way the colour and top coat is connected (held together) also makes it easy to store and travel-friendly.

I am really impressed. These are exclusive to Dis-Chem and retail at R99.95.

Color Riche L’Extraordinaire  – An elixir of color and light in an exquisite case

I think that statement about sums it up.  This product aims to give more colour than a lipstick, more lustre than a gloss and more comfort than a balm. It contains an array of oils to care for your lips and magnify colour and shine.

The product feels great on my lips and the colour payoff is wonderful. The colours I received are very pretty, but pink (in any form) does not belong on my lips. I do like these very much and plan on getting shade 500 Molto Mauve next time I hit the mall. Retail price: R169.95.

Letibalm – a winter essential

A few weeks ago the flu hit me hard and I was sporting a lovely red nose. Cara wasn’t doing much better. When I received an offer to try a product ‘that has specifically been designed to care for lips, nose and the skin in between’ my answer was HELL YES.

Letibalm repairs chaps and cracks in the skin of the nose and lips, it hydrates skin, protects your skin from abrasions (you know, when your soft tissues start feeling like sandpaper) and it calms irritated skin. It also helps protect against cold sores and contains menthol and camphor to help ease breathing.

Letibalm works. It was love at first application. My skin immediately felt relieved and the balm helped the skin between my nose and lips heel quicker. The balm is very hydrating and leaves a protective layer on your skin.

I love that Letibalm has a balm for kids as well. Letibalm Pediatric is suitable for kids from 0 – 8 years old. Cara’s delicate skin was really suffering when she had a cold and the Letibalm worked like a charm. I gave some to my sister as well as her little girl’s lips were swollen and peeling because of the cold. She said the Letibalm really helped.

Even though I’m not sporting the Rudolph look at the moment, I still really enjoy my Letibalm. It’s just a great lip balm. The pot is next to my bed and I apply it just before I go to sleep. The fluid is on my desk and I apply it as needed. The fluid is a little ‘lighter’ than the balm but still beautifully nourishing.

This is a product that I will buy for myself and I will most definitely not go through a winter without Letibalm Pediatric in the house. It also does a great job of soothing your little one’s chin when the dribbles start to bother.

Letibalm is available from Dis-Chem and selected pharmacies and retails for R55.
