Africology Renewing Facial Therapy Serum

Africology is a local natural, eco-friendly and holistic spa and skincare company that I have heard much about, but only recently had the opportunity to experience. I realise that you should not necessarily judge a brand based on only one product, but I am smitten.

Africology Renewing Facial Therapy Serum

I am currently using the Africology Renewing Facial Therapy Serum and it is absolute bliss.

Africology Renewing Facial Therapy Serum review pretty please charlie babies behind bars

‘Actively defends sensitive and reaction-prone skin with its all-actives preparation.  A brown algae stabilised in jojoba oil, Padinami is cultivated in the Mediterranean sea in marine farms and handpicked by the local population. Jojoba oil is the ideal carrier oil as it is easily absorbed and resists oxidation. By naturally stimulating glycosaminoglycan and collagen synthesis, Padinami restores elasticity in the skin and makes it look younger. The skin is plumper, firmer, and revitalised.’

I haven’t used it for long enough to comment on the long term anti-ageing effects, but my skin has responded very favourably to this serum. My skin is very sensitive during winter and the moment I apply this serum my skin feels calmed. My skin soaks it up. I prefer to use the Renewing Facial Therapy Serum at night as it is an oil and my combination skin can turn grease ball if I apply it in the morning. After use, I wake looking fresh and calm. It is an absolute treat. It is recommended for all skin types, but will definitely be more beneficial for dry and damaged skin. It has a beautiful therapeutic aroma and 4 drops is more than enough for my face and neck. You can visit Africology HERE to get yours. It retails for R690 for 30ml.

PLEASE NOTE!! For every Skin Renewal Serum ordered until the end of August, Africology will donate all proceeds from the sale to Babies Behind Bars, a non-profit that assist mothers in prison whose children are born during their sentence. Elim Medi Hand Age Reversal Hand Cream Review

If you’re a regular reader of my blog you may have picked up that I am very self concious about my hands. Because of my eczema and years of cortisone use, the skin on my hands is very thin and if you had to guess my age by just looking at my hands, you would think that I am at least 10 years older than I really am. My hands are also extremely sensitive and I struggle to find hand creams that moisturise and soothe whilst not aggravating my eczema.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!

elim
‘For youthful looking hands. This treatment helps to reverse signs of ageing on your hands. It helps eliminate dark spots and the appearance of wrinkles and creates an even skin tone for your hands.’

As you can see form the above pic, this cream has been well used. I am getting a bit stingy with it now as the tube is nearing the end. It does exactly what I need from a hand cream and more… it nourishes, soothes and moisturises without feeling heavy or sticky once absorbed and I really think that the condition of my skin has improved since I started using this product. The only negative for me is the strong scent. I am not really a fan of a ‘herby’ smell and it can be a bit overwhelming at first. But I seem to be the only one that thinks so as each time I apply it when someone is around, they comment on how lovely it smells.

Elim Medi Hand Age Reversal Hand Cream retails for R320 for 80ml which is steep, but I think it is worth every cent. Will I purchase it you may ask? Hell yes. This is one amazing hand cream. And it’s not tested on animals!

You can visit the Elim Spa Products website HERE to find a stockist or shop online.
