Letibalm – a winter essential

A few weeks ago the flu hit me hard and I was sporting a lovely red nose. Cara wasn’t doing much better. When I received an offer to try a product ‘that has specifically been designed to care for lips, nose and the skin in between’ my answer was HELL YES.

Letibalm repairs chaps and cracks in the skin of the nose and lips, it hydrates skin, protects your skin from abrasions (you know, when your soft tissues start feeling like sandpaper) and it calms irritated skin. It also helps protect against cold sores and contains menthol and camphor to help ease breathing.

Letibalm works. It was love at first application. My skin immediately felt relieved and the balm helped the skin between my nose and lips heel quicker. The balm is very hydrating and leaves a protective layer on your skin.

I love that Letibalm has a balm for kids as well. Letibalm Pediatric is suitable for kids from 0 – 8 years old. Cara’s delicate skin was really suffering when she had a cold and the Letibalm worked like a charm. I gave some to my sister as well as her little girl’s lips were swollen and peeling because of the cold. She said the Letibalm really helped.

Even though I’m not sporting the Rudolph look at the moment, I still really enjoy my Letibalm. It’s just a great lip balm. The pot is next to my bed and I apply it just before I go to sleep. The fluid is on my desk and I apply it as needed. The fluid is a little ‘lighter’ than the balm but still beautifully nourishing.

This is a product that I will buy for myself and I will most definitely not go through a winter without Letibalm Pediatric in the house. It also does a great job of soothing your little one’s chin when the dribbles start to bother.

Letibalm is available from Dis-Chem and selected pharmacies and retails for R55.

Naturals Beauty is a thing of beauty!

Facial oils are a necessity during the colder months, especially if you have dry skin or you feel you need a little assistance in the anti-ageing department. I have two oils that I love, but when I read about the Sweet Orange Wrinkle Banisher from Naturals Beauty I had to get it ASAP.

With my purchase the lovely Tanya from Naturals Beauty also included the Avocado Night Treatment and a Lip Balm for me to try out.

The Sweet Orange Wrinkle Banisher is my new favourite oil. It contains ingredients that soften and moisturise the skin, eliminates toxins, supports collagen formation and it contains AHA to rejuvenate. The orange scent of this oil is just fantastic and immediately makes you feel pampered. It’s just lovely. The oil feels a little thicker than my other oils, but it still absorbs completely. My skin feels soft and pampered when I apply this oil. My face is left with a radiant glow that is noticeable on application and the next morning. The directions say to apply the oil to the areas around the eyes and mouth (to target the areas that usually start to show signs of ageing first), but I also like to apply it to my whole face and neck when my skin feels particularly dry and dull and it needs a little extra TLC. I will most definitely buy this product again. R55 for 10ml.

Tanya warned me that the Avocado Night Treatment is very rich and is suitable for more mature skin, but I am so glad I tried it. It is an amazing cream and perfect when my skin needs an extra boost of moisture and more TLC than usual. My skin goes from slightly (sometimes more) oily in summer to very sensitive and dehydrated with dry patches in winter. This cream contains avocado oil which assists in the regeneration and rejuvenation of the skin. It will assist in healing sun damage, scars and reduce age spots. It also contains geranium oil that has antiseptic, refreshing and astringent qualities which will help to balance oil (sebum) production in the skin. Even though this cream is very rich, my skin absorbs it beautifully and I love it. I have also been using it on my hands and it is a brilliant treat for dry, sensitive and even eczema-prone skin. I love applying it to my hands just before going to bed. I will definitely buy this cream for myself. R55 for 50ml.

Another little treat was the lip balm. To be honest, I wasn’t too excited to try it as a lot of natural lip balms just don’t do it for me. Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner! The balm is beautifully scented, light on the lips but very moisturising. Lovely. R20 for 10ml.

During the time I tried the above products, I remembered that I had a milk cleanser sample that I received at a BloggersWhoBless meet earlier in the year. It was still very hot then so I was happy with my foaming cleansers that I was using at the time.

The cleanser is thick, creamy and gentle. I have been using it as a cleanser in the morning and I love it. It cleanses well without stripping my skin. My skin feels smooth, soft and clean after use. I highly recommend it. R80 for 125ml.

I am so impressed with Naturals Beauty. The products are of superb quality and you can be assured that it doesn’t contain any ‘nasties’. The packaging is also pretty and the products are very affordable.

Naturals Beauty gets two thumbs up! I can’t wait to try more from this brand. The baby range also looks brilliant. Visit their FB page to check out the special on the baby range that is running this month.
