BURST Studio Flat Top Stipple Foundation Brush (FD05)

It’s fabulous. Get it. You don’t have to even read the rest of the post. Just get it. Now!

I read a review on BURST make-up brushes on Pout Perfection and immediately got excited about the range.

When I opened my goodie bag at the #CPTBloggerMeet last Saturday, it took quiet some restraint on my part to not freak out when I saw this beauty staring back at me (in between loads of awesomeness I might add!).

‘Use this brush to create a light to heavy coverage, resulting in a flawless finish. Use in circular movements for a lighter application and a stippling motion for a heavier coverage.’

I have many foundation brushes… flat, dome, stipple. I still prefer to apply my foundation either using a Beautyblender (and the like) or my fingers. I have preferred using my fingers of late, as it saves a bit of time in the mornings and it works well with the foundation that I’m currently using.

Well, my fingers will no longer be doing all the work… this brush is amazing. Application is quick, easy and my foundation is blended flawlessly (even into the hairline).

The quality of this brush is great. The bristles are dense and super soft. It really is a pleasure to buff your foundation into the skin. It feels so good that I now apply my primer with it too. It doesn’t soak up your foundation, so no wasted product. I have used it every day since receiving it and I haven’t noticed any bristles falling out. The handle is sturdy and the look of the brush is just gorgeous.
Best of all… this bristles are synthetic. Yay for cruelty-free.

The brush retails at ZAR250 and it is worth every cent. Go check out the BURST Studio site to see how you can order. While you’re there you can check out the make-up services that they offer and have a look at all the other drool-worthy brushes. I am already eyeing more from the synthetic range.

If you were also at the #CPTBloggerMeet, or if you have this one or other BURST brushes in your collection, please let me know what you think.

xoxo

Best of 2013

I don’t think that I have ever tried as many products as I did last year! There were a lot of hits, but also so many misses. There were many products that I really enjoyed, but these made the ‘best of’ cut as I will be purchasing them again and again.

These were my favourites for 2013:

Nivea Cellular Anti-Age Serum
Oh my wêd this is lovely! This is probably the best serum I have used to date. And at only ZAR180, you just can’t go wrong. You can have a look at my review HERE.

Bourjois Foundations
I have fallen completely in love with this brand and their foundations are fabulous. I have tried three of their foundations and I can’t choose between them as there are so many reasons why I love them all. I am planning a post where I will be doing a comparison between these three, so keep an eye out. They retail for around ZAR180 and are available at selected Clicks stores and on-line.

Rain Biologie Facial Rehydrater
This little bottle has found a space in my fridge and gets whipped out after a long hot day – the cool, hydrating mist immediately lifts my spirits and leaves me feeling refreshed (at a bargain of only ZAR69 I might add!). Check out my review HERE.

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant
This product has been my saving grace! And I have never used a product before that has made such an improvement in such a short time. If you suffer from oily skin and/or enlarged pores, this is worth its weight in gold. I will still post an in-depth review on this amazing product. You can purchase it on the Paula’s Choice site for ZAR295.

Labello Lip Butter
Best lip product EVER. Read my review HERE.

Oh So Heavenly Be Radiant Body Lotion
One of the best body lotions I have ever used. And at only ZAR30, you won’t easily find anything to top it. Read my review HERE.

BlendBox Soft Hand Cream
Heaven in a jar. This is probably the best hand cream that I have ever used. Absolutely beautiful product. I want more. And I want to try all the products in this range. HERE are my thoughts on this bargain buy (ZAR50 for 50ml).

I would love to hear about your favourites!! Please tell me in the comments below which products you can’t live without or leave a link if you did a ‘Best of’ post.
