‘In our early 30s our skin starts showing the first signs of ageing; skin feels persistently drier, existing marks appear darker and age spots, fine lines and wrinkles start to appear. These are all signs that the ageing process has begun beneath the skin.’
This is according to Pond’s. According to my friend Marilé, everything starts going downhill after 25. Man, I wish I listened to her and started using the proper products back then already.
Pond’s has a beautiful range of products that target the 7 signs of ageing:
1. Loss of radiance 2. Uneven skin tone 3. Dehydration 4. Rough, dry patches 5. Pigmentation 6. Loss of firmness 7. Wrinkles‘Experience a revolutionary breakthrough in anti-ageing with POND’S age miracleTM. A potent system of 6 Bio-Actives that work in combination with each other and with the natural processes of your skin to deliver 3X more skin renewal power.’
The range consists of a foaming face wash, a toner, 2 day creams (a pump bottle for combination to oily skin and jar for normal to dry skin), a night cream, a serum, eye cream and BB Creams.
Overall the range is well priced, the packaging is attractive and I think the quality of the products are what you would expect from Pond’s.
My favourites from the range:
The SERUM has a lovely velvety texture and my skin feels silky smooth after application. And bonus… it comes in a pump bottle. It retails for R165.
The BB CREAM gives me a bit more coverage than I expected and Beige suits my pale skin tone quite nicely. It has an SPF of 30 which is great. I prefer a foundation that gives lighter coverage or a BB Cream in winter, so I suspect that I will be reaching for this often. It retails for R145.
My favourite from the range is the DUAL EYE THERAPY EYE CREAM.
I was surprised when I saw how big the pot was, but soon understood as when I unscrewed the cap, I realized that it actually contains two eye creams – one for the under eye area and one for the lid. The pink upper eye cream contains collagen and targets lines and wrinkles. It feels more like a balm than a cream and creates a lovely base for your make-up. The white under eye cream aims to brighten the area and reduce puffiness. Both creams contain sunshields. R155.
If you feel you need to start using anti-ageing products, this range is a great one to try.
xoxo
