Let’s jump right in… amazing colour payoff, highly pigmented, beautiful shades, minimal fallout, soft, buttery and blendable. You can’t ask for much more when it comes to eyeshadows and this is exactly what you get with the new L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Mono Eyeshadows.
I received Breaking Nude (Matte 106), Die for Chocolat (Smoky 302) and Noir C’est Noir (Matte 100) to try and I have been wearing them every day since.
My swatches don’t do these beauties justice. The colours really are beautiful and Breaking Nude is the perfect all over lid colour that I have been searching for.
These shadows retail for R99.95 and I think it is an extremely good price considering what you get.
I will most definitely be investing in more shades. Two thumbs up L’Oréal!
I am not a fan of ‘traditional’ lipstick as there are few things that erk me more than having to constantly re-apply colour. Colour does not last on my lips, and without colour I look completely washed out. That’s why I have always been a fan of Revlon’s ColorStay lip colours. Because they really do last. I have tried other brands, but no other long lasting lip colours have ever come close to Revlon.
Revlon also always has shades that suit me. And that’s no easy feat… It is extremely difficult for me to find shades that are not too pink, too orange or too ’80’s’ brown. Revlon recently sent me 6 lippies to try, and 4 of the shades work for me 100%.
Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain
If you want a juicy, high shine and bright, highly pigmented colour, these beauties are for you. They feel wonderful on the lips and last very well. And when the gloss finally disappears, a slight stain most definitely remains. Stockholm Chic is a reddish brown that works very well for me, and even better for my mom, so I suspect that it will disappear from my bag in the near future. Miami Fever is beautifully bright, but a little too bright for me. Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain comes in 12 shades and retails for R169.
Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick
Love, love, love! These lippies give a beautiful soft satin finish and the colour lasts very well. Revlon says that you don’t need a top coat, but I still need one. My lips are extremely dry and I just prefer to add a bit of balm or gloss after application. I received the shades #1 Nude and Royal Raisin and I adore them both. #1 Nude is especially great as it is the first nude that I have found that doesn’t leave me looking like a corpse. It also works very well as a base colour for sheer lip products. I am very sad to tell you that these are limited addition shades! They are available right now, so you better hurry, because I am going to try to beat you that that stand ;) The limited addition shades are Buffest Beige, Ultimate Orchid, Vigorous Violet, Premium Pink, Miracle Mauve, Iconic Iris, Brilliant Bordeaux, Top Tomato, Stellar Sunrise, #1 Nude, Royal Raisin and Premier Plum. They retail for R179 and will only be available while stocks last.
Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor
I have had at least one of these in my stash at all times over the past 10 (maybe longer) years. There is no better long lasting lip colour. None that I have found at least. I’m talking two coats of colour before going out and waking up with perfect lips the next day (forgive me… I also wish I could go back and slap myself for going to bed with my make-up). Does it dry out your lips? Yes it will, IF you don’t use your top coat. That’s what it’s there for. I received Non-Stop Cherry and Bare Maximum. The cherry shade is lovely, but I am not sure if I’m brave enough yet. Bare Maximum is fabulous! Yet again a perfect nude shade. My swatch doesn’t do it justice and makes it look a teensy bit too orange. The colour of the tube may be a little truer. Once again it completely saddens me to say that these are limited addition shades. What are you doing to me Revlon?! The limited addition shades are Forever Scarlet, Keep Blushing, Unlimited Mulberry, Ultimate Wine, Perennial Plum, Everlasting Rum, Eternally Tan, Endless Spice, Bare Maximum, Non Stop Cherry, Boundless Brandy and Relentless Raisin and they retail for R179. Better hurry before they are all sold out.
xoxo
