Glamour icon Marilyn Monroe is Max Factor’s new Global Ambassador

It was Mr. Max Factor who transformed Norma Jeane into Marilyn Monroe with an iconic beauty look that captured the hearts of the world.  Today, Max Factor celebrates this fantastic story with the announcement of Marilyn Monroe as Global glamour ambassador.

1511223_809136725819505_1943716605816316546_n 2015 marks 80 years since Mr. Max Factor Junior opened the doors of his Hollywood make-up studio, transforming the looks of Hollywood’s elite.  His most iconic client of all?  Norma Jeane. Norma Jeane entered his Blonde Room in the late 1940s as a brunette, and thanks to Mr. Max Factor, emerged complete with platinum blonde hair – a beauty look fit for Marilyn Monroe.  Subsequently, Max Factor make-up was used to create the iconic Marilyn Monroe look.

I have always loved Marilyn and her iconic look will forever be a favourite. I never knew that Mr Max Factor was the artist behind this classic look and I think it is quite fitting that Ms Monroe be the face of Max Factor. Marilyn simply embodied glamour.

In celebration of this announcement, Max Factor launched the international #GlamJan campaign where beauty influencers, media, celebrities and consumers get the chance to show their more glamorous side by uploading their most gorgeous transformation selfies. You can even win amazing prizes.

L’Oréal Color Riche Mono Eyeshadows… yes, you want them!

Let’s jump right in… amazing colour payoff, highly pigmented, beautiful shades, minimal fallout, soft, buttery and blendable. You can’t ask for much more when it comes to eyeshadows and this is exactly what you get with the new L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Mono Eyeshadows.

I received Breaking Nude (Matte 106), Die for Chocolat (Smoky 302) and Noir C’est Noir (Matte 100) to try and I have been wearing them every day since.

My swatches don’t do these beauties justice. The colours really are beautiful and Breaking Nude is the perfect all over lid colour that I have been searching for.

These shadows retail for R99.95 and I think it is an extremely good price considering what you get.

I will most definitely be investing in more shades. Two thumbs up L’Oréal!
