Naturals Beauty introduces their R&R Kids Range and we tried the conditioner

Naturals Beauty launched their R&R Baby Range just over 2 years ago and the range has been very successful. Now they have added a Bum Balm to the baby range and they recently launched a much anticipated R&R Kids Range. The Kids Range comprises of a Shampoo & Body Wash, Conditioner and Bubble Bath. Naturals Beauty was kind enough to send Cara a R&R Kids Conditioner to try and we are loving it. It can be used as a ‘normal’ conditioner to be rinsed after application or it can be used as a leave-in conditioner. We prefer to leave it in as Cara has very dry hair. The product helps to easily detangle her hair, leaving it soft and manageable and her curls are full of bounce and super shiny. (PS My curls love it too). The cute pump bottle retails for R74. Two thumbs up! I am very keen to try the other two products in the Kids Range as well. Because all R&R products are allergen-free, paraben-free, sls-free, sulphate-free, soap-free, petroleum-free, phthalate-free and mineral oil-free (phew! That’s a mouthful) I am sure that we have also finally discovered a bubble bath that will not irritate Cara’s sensitive, eczema-prone skin. Girls need bubbles! I will let you know as soon as we give it a go. In the pics you will also see the gorgeous Hemp R&R Kids and Baby Bags that launched over the weekend. Gorgeous, aren’t they? After trying out the conditioner (and my previous experience with Naturals Beauty) I can say with 100% certainty that you can’t go wrong with any of their products. This...

My Style Bar transformation

On Friday I had the opportunity to visit Style Bar for a full consultation, colour, cut and blow. Let’s quickly chat about Style Bar before I show you how gorgeous my hair looks. ‘Style Bar, born from a successful chain of salons with over 12 years of experience, presents a newer, fresher, trendier image that matches the image of its clientele. The newly revamped salons offer a welcoming atmosphere in a glamorous yet elegant and stylish environment. It is an environment where each creative team will bring the art of hairdressing to life.’ I visited Style Bar Pinehurst and I loved how stylish the salon is. Great job for knowing that simple most often equals elegant. Have a look: What to choose, what to choose? My appointment started off with a full consultation and the stylist really went all out to ensure that I walk out of the salon happy with my experience and the results. My highlights turned out amazing and the cut is absolutely perfect. My hair looks gorgeous and healthy and it feels great. The stylist refused that I walk out of there without having my hair blow dried (I usually walk out of salons with damp hair as nobody knows how to handle my curls except me). I left it in her capable hands and this was the result: I have probably only worn my hair straight about 5 times in my life, and this was the first time that I loved it. Next time I will make sure that hubby takes me out after. I am so, so happy with my hair and I’ve...

VO5 Miracle Concentrate Review

I have fine curly hair (LOTS of it!) that I have not always been too kind to: highlights, washing & styling every day, and using supermarket products. I have finally found the perfect styling products: lekker cheap leave-in conditioner and styling mousse, but there are always some locks that still need some defining… I’ve tried gel, wax, silicone, the works. My hair either looks dirty or the curls become hard and stiff. I did a post on Argan Oil last month and my skin loves it. It’s just too expensive to use for my hair on a daily basis. Then I saw VO5’s Miracle Concentrate… with Argan Oil! And it’s only 46 bucks at Clicks. It’s an intensive leave-in treatment. They say you can apply it to your wet hair, but that didn’t work for me. I use a few drops on my dry, styled hair to smooth the ends and any frizzy bits. And it does a good job. Now I don’t have a clue what all the ingredients are (except for the Argan Oil), but I do know it contains a form of silicone. Now my hairdresser told me to steer away from silicone-based products… something about cuticles and build-up, ag I dunno. But if I hear of anything that may work for these locks, I’m going to try it. What I love about this product: Firstly the price of course. It comes with a handy dropper, so you have control over the amount of product you use. It doesn’t leave a sticky residue on your hands making you run to the basin immediately (like some of...
