A couple of weeks ago I received a gorgeous delivery containing Essence Soft Touch Mousse Make-up.
I love Essence. I use at least one Essence make-up product a day. But I wasn’t too excited to try an Essence foundation as I didn’t expect the coverage (which I need a fair amount of) to be sufficient. I am a bit older than the Essence target market and the mousse foundations that I have tried in the past did not live up to expectations. The Essence Soft Touch Mousse foundation pleasantly surprised me though. The coverage is good, it spreads easily and evenly, it lasts well and it even conceals my pores to a certain degree. I need to wear it over a primer at the moment. With change of season comes allergies and super sensitive skin, and my skin tends to go from normal/slightly oily to dry and even flaky overnight. Without a primer this foundation can accentuate dry areas. The foundation provides a beautifully smooth and matte finish and I think it would be ideal for oily skin types. I will most definitely be trying this foundation again during summer as I am sure that it would work extremely well with my skin during the hotter months. I used shade 02 Matt Beige which suits my fair skin very well (even though it looks very dark in the pot).
In short, if you are looking for a foundation that gives light to medium coverage, a velvety smooth, matte finish and that most definitely won’t break the bank, then Essence Soft Touch Mousse Make-up is for you.
Essence also announced the release of new shades in this range. The shade extension includes 09 Matt Porcelain, 50 Matt Caramel and 60 Matt Mahogany.
Essence Soft Touch Mousse foundation retails for R70 and can be found at Dis-Chem and Clicks stores nationwide.
