Celebrate Christmas in Copper at the Stellenbosch Weekend Slow Market 27 – 29 Nov

It’s almost time for the annual Christmas Night & Day Slow Market weekend in Stellenbosch and this year an element of copper has been added to the celebration.

The use of copper for kitchen accessories such as pots, pans and jelly moulds reflects the original Cape style kitchen dating back to the 1600’s – the same period in which Stellenbosch was founded and named after Dutch settler, Simon van der Stel. What better way to celebrate Christmas than with our very own Cape heritage and the hearty, wholesome food for which Slow Market is renowned?

There will be a wide selection of authentic items including fynbos topiaries, artisanal Christmas fruitcakes and handmade arts and crafts.

In case all this isn’t enough of a gift, on Sunday 29 November, award-winning, multi-platinum SA artist, Kurt Darren will be playing at the Oude Libertas amphitheatre as part of the Oude Libertas summer concerts alongside the Slow Market Christmas fair.
