A couple of thoughts on body image

I just wrote this long ass post on body image. With definitions, the works.  As you can see, this is not that post. After reading it, it went to the recycle bin.

You want to know what the perfect body is? It’s a healthy body. It’s a body that YOU feel comfortable in.

It’s about finding a way of eating (eating plan, diet, whatever) that works for you. One that suits your lifestyle and one that affects your body in a positive way.

It’s about movement. Our bodies were not designed to sit on the couch the whole day. Get out there and get moving. Decide whether you want to run a marathon or just be able to run around in the garden with your kids. Then do what will get you there.

Stop judging others for their choices. Let them do what works for them. Or not, for that matter. You do what works for you! Do what will make you a happier and healthier person.

It’s all about balance. I need balance. I want to get to that place where I can run that race and eat that ice cream. That is what I want to teach my child.

#F2FChallenge: Week 1 = RESULT

Finally a program that works for me!! Why do I say this? Well look at my results… after just one week:

The A New Weigh eating plan and exercise program is amazing. I get to eat a balanced diet and I have come to realise that balanced is what my body needs. I find it much easier to maintain and a lot easier to fit into my lifestyle, and that of my family. And hey, I get to eat carbs. The exercise program is challenging and fun. The F2F Challengers are also an amazing group of women. The support from this group is invaluable.

I feel great! Really. I am so excited for the next 11 weeks. NOTHING is going to stop me!
