Rain Biologie review and giveaway

All right STOP. Collaborate and listen. Ha-ha! Vanilla Ice takes over, and I can never stop at STOP… At least I’ve got your attention. And the Rain Biologie range deserves your attention. My word, I am in love with this range.

Rain sent me the following products to try and in this post I’m going to tell you how I experienced them. It is worth it to read a bit more about what goes into the products and why it will benefit you, so you can click on the product’s name and it will take you to the product’s write up on Rain’s site.

In a nutshell: I love this range’s packaging, simple and elegant, all the products smell amazing, they contain a multitude of fabulous natural ingredients, the brand is cruelty-free and all the products are made by hand, with love. Rain is very passionate about all the products, and it shows. On to the reviews.

This stuff smells amazing. It reminds me of brown sugar and toffee. Really, really good. The butter itself is thick and creamy and totally delicious. My dry skin loves it. It is very nourishing and rich, and will be perfect for the winter months. It’s a bit too hot at the moment to lather it all over, but my hands and feet are treated with this fabulous product every night. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth and pampered.

This little bottle has been on my wish list and I was very happy to find it in my parcel. It contains all sorts of great-for-your-skin ingredients and is a fabulous pick-me-up for tired or dehydrated skin. The scent also lifts my spirits with just one spritz. I keep it in the fridge and there is nothing better than a refreshing spray after a long, hot day at the office.

This hand lotion is perfect for the summer months when you don’t want to use heavy creams that ‘sit’ on your skin and make you feel even more hot (and sweaty). I have to use hand lotion every couple of hours as my hands are very dry. My fingers also become puffy and swollen (very attractive!) when it’s very hot, so this lotion does a great job at soothing those worsie vingers. This is really a lovely lotion that moisturises my skin, absorbes instantly and of course it smells divine.

One word… Fan-freakin-tastic! It contains Bioactive organic mud and organic Marula Oil which is great for your hair. ‘Actives in the mud increases cell turnover and leave your hair feeling richly nourished, smooth and soft.’ And that is exactly how my hair feels after use. What I love about it is that it doesn’t leave any residue on my hair (the way some treatments and conditioners do). I also used it on my little girl’s hair. Cara got her mom’s dry, curly hair, so she also needs some extra care. Our curls looked so pretty after our bath :) I read on the packaging that it contains spearmint leaf oil… so I wasn’t crazy when I thought I experienced a little tingle after I rinsed my hair. A very refreshing feeling in this hot weather.

I love this mask and I am sure you will too. Wanna try it? Then complete the Rafflecopter below and one could be on your way as a belated Christmas prezzie. Thank you Rain for sponsoring this prize. Please note that this giveaway is unfortunately only open to South African residents. The winner will be announced on Christmas Day.

Thank you Rain for these amazing products. I am a fan.

ghd Total Volume Foam

A while ago I received a bottle of ghd Total Volume Foam from Beauty Bulletin. I wasn’t too excited about it as I have curly hair and all I know about ghd is that every girl who straightens their hair, would give their left pinky to own a ghd hair straightener.
The bottle was in my cupboard for about a week when my usual scrunching mousse ran out. So I tried it.
I really wish I hadn’t because now it’s the only product I want to use!! Even though it’s a volumising product, it sculpted my curls perfectly. My curls were perfectly defined, soft and bouncy, and no frizz in sight.
I also love that it’s a foam, as mousse can leave my hair hard and sticky if I’m not very precise about the amount I use.

I had a look on the ghd website and saw that it retails for R195. Check out their hair products HERE.
This is quite pricey for me, but I also think it’s worth every cent. I am seriously thinking of purchasing a bottle.
Who knew that my curls would fall in love with a ghd product?!
