My Summer Saviour: Bioderma Photoderm MAX SPF50+ Aquafluide

It’s hot. Damn, Cape Town. Enough now.

This summer, more than ever before, I’ve made sure never to go in the sun without wearing a good sunscreen. I have been wearing Photoderm Max Aquafluide SPF 50+ a lot.

My Summer Saviour: Bioderma Photoderm MAX SPF50+ Aquafluide

What makes it special? Bioderma Photoderm offers very high sun protection that is suitable for all skin types, including oily and sensitive. The emulsion has an ultra-light texture and a dry touch finish.

The “oil free” emulsion is optimised by a complex consisting of 3 powders with matifying properties, and concealing agents for a matt and powdery finish. Cellular Bioprotection® preserves the skin’s immunity, cellular integrity and combats the premature ageing of the skin.

Photoderm is also hypoallergenic, non comedogenic, fragrance free, paraben free and water resistant.

Aquafluide comes in 3 variants – not tinted, light tint and golden tint.

I’m using both the clear and lightly tinted versions.  Both have saved my skin many times over the holidays and it continues to do so. We’re going away this weekend and we will be spending most of it outside by the pool. Photoderm is top of my list of what to pack.

I wear the tinted one instead of foundation on days that I don’t want to wear a full face of make-up, but also don’t want to go bare. The coverage is not bad at all, and if set with powder it lasts well.

The product itself is very light and it spreads easily. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling suffocated at all.

Photoderm really does have a matte finish and I highly recommend you give it a try if you struggle with oily skin. I find that the tinted version can be a teensy bit tacky once applied, but as I’ve mentioned, I powder over it and then the finish is perfect.

Photoderm Max Aquafluide SPF 50+ retails for R199.

Two thumbs up Bioderma.

xoxo
